"The hotel is in a very tranquil, country setting but not far from Bilbao. It is an old house that has been beautifully restored in a rustic manner. The lady, who seemed to do everything, was very kind and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable with a very modern shower. The evening meal and breakfast were plentiful and good quality. The only negative thing was that there was no lift and the stairs were quite steep."

"An excellent location for an overnight stay en route to Portugal, with amazing views and plenty of space to relax and unwind after many hours in the car. The owners were friendly and very accommodating - providing recommendations for dinner and things to do. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, and the continental breakfast in the morning was excellent. "

"Second stay here on our journey back to UK from Portugal. Great place, clean, comfortable and the owner is a gentleman. Local restaurant was closed this time of year, which was a shame as it’s really good food and good value but the owner pointed us to a place about 9 km away and the food was good and dogs were welcome. We will be back during our travels. Thanks"

"It was deep in snow when we arrived and my husband didn’t believe the sat nav so we were lost, we called the hotel and the owner actually got in his car in the snow and came and found us knowing we had an English number plate, well impressed! "We loved this place... I just wish they provided good directions on how to get there! Between addresses being in Euskara and roads not well identified we had a hard time following the GPS as it kept wanting us to go into a private road that lead no where other than a house. Once we arrived, there was nobody there. We found a nice couple down the street who knew the person in charge and contacted him for us, he then proceeded to give us the code to get into the house. "This hotel was immaculate! Parking was extremely easy, but you must park outside the hotel first and get directions on where to park… It is just a couple minutes down the road in a private parking We at the parking was great and hotels the service was great! The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The only issue we came across was our shower drain was not working properly. We told the front desk who was willing to have the handyman come back to our room, even though it was a Sunday, but we decided not to worry with it."
