Short Vacation

Beautiful Property! Resort was very nice, family friendly. The resort is right in the center of Orlando. Took 15 mins to get to any of our destinations. We will be returning to Vista Cay

Great Stay

We stayed just a couple of nights in the Orlando area, and this condo was perfect for it! There were 5 of us, including 3 teenagers, and there was ample space to move around! Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped! Pool area was very nice! Location of this complex is very close to all the sights in Orlando! Thanks for the great stay!

Nice place and location

For the most part the place is pretty nice. There are a few things that need to be repaired like a couple of holes in the wall. But for the most part place, did what I needed to do by. A place to take a shower and lay my head and it’s in very good location close to the main pool area.

4th floor condo

PROS'S location close to convention center good view from the balcony plenty of room access to pool was nice and pool was great outdoor property was well maintained good food choices near condo Con's the only new thing about unit was flooring mattress under the sheets were very stained many items missing in kitchen (coffee carafe) blinds were available no shades however could not sleep late place could use a real nice paint job and updated decor otherwise our stay was ok. the price was reflective

Beautiful Penthouse

We really enjoyed the penthouse. It was gorgeous. Our main concern was communication. The property owner had not sent the checkin info as of the morning of our arrival. After reaching out and communication with VRBO customer service it was finally produced but it was a bit stressful being on the phone for 2 hours the day of travel to locate it.

Condo not cleaned upon arrival

The location was beautiful. Unfortunately we arrived to the property and found it had not been cleaned, nor had bed sheets been changed from the last guest stay and the master bathroom toilet was broken. The first person from our group to arrive at the condo ran and bought laundry soap to wash the sheets. However, I will say that our contact for the condo responded quickly to these items and sent staff to clean it within a couple hours. They removed the sheets from the wash and took them with them meanwhile making the beds up with clean sheets. The toilet issue got rectified the following day. Aside from that, the condo is very spacious, comfortable, has a wonderful deck and decorated nicely. Could use some hand towels and wash clothes to go with the bath towels.

Poperty Manager not helpful

Property Manager, laking customer service 1. Problems with internet password. We are educated people and could not get the internet to work consistently. When we contacted the property manager, we were told to contact the internet provider. Absolutely ridiculous. 2. Pool passes missing. 3. Lighting, mutiple light bulbs needed replaced 4. No instructions on facility amenities. 5. No instructions on how to operate devices or any quick trouble shooting ideas on how to fix technology issues. 5. Dead batteries in multiple remotes 6. No wash clothes in master bath. 7. Master bedroom 3-4 degrees hotter than the rest of the place. Minimum setting in condo was 70%, we respected that. Therefore master bedroom was 73 degrees to sleep. ACTUALLY, the communication on temperature within apartment was not to set below 70 degrees, the unit will freeze and you will be without air conditioning for three days. 8. Doorcode was a phone number - ridiculous. Way to many digits. We have stayed at Vista Cay mutliple times before in other units. Our experiences always excellent. We will not rent this unit in the future. Only positive, the place was clean.

Needs a VERY good cleaning and handyman repairs

They have “strict” arrival and departure time in their rules. We arrived at 4:30 pm, the cleaning lady had just started. We texted our host to say we were unhappy, NO RESPONSE EVER on this topic (see other reviews from 1-23 (two reviews), 7-22, 6-22). Cleaning finished at 5:45 pm and could tell she was ONLY washing the fitted sheets, flat sheets, pillowcases, towels. I checked the mattress cover under fitted sheets they were disgusting (see other reviews from 2-23, 7-22, 6-22), so I washed all bedding, covers, bedspreads, mattress pads on day 1. Host rules say pool cards by front door (lost $10 each). Day 2 no pool cards (see review 1-23) so sent host a text message, NO RESPONSE. Then messaged him online, he then texted an hour after our initial text (said he is overseas, see 6-22 review) have someone bring them. We waited, then when to lobby get that pool gate cards. Ice maker was broken (see reviews 11-22, 6-22). No coffee pot in maker (see review 2-23). TV, ceiling fan remotes broken, missing batteries (see reviews from 1-23, 2-19). Fire alarm missing on ceiling, sitting cabinet, obvious safety concern. One-bed bedroom has two lamps broken and knob missing on one (see review from 2-22, 1-22). Main tub drains slowly, shower liner is disgusting, shower floors heavily stained. Patio furniture is worn out (my son used broom to clean webs, wasps nest dirt off walls, windows, floor Sent concerns to the host on day 2 cause we didn’t want to be held responsible for any broken items host responded, if you don’t like the unit, find another place and he will reimburse us for any “complete” unused rental days. First thought as a host to apologize to guests, not try to get rid of them. Who could move quickly with 6 people? Host doesn’t care to do anything (as evidenced by multiple reviews about the same issues). Lots of general handyman issues that need to be taken care of (see reviews 2-23,11-22,7-22). We had many issues – Unit not ready when we got there, no response from the host, broken things, dirty beds, generally run down, and a deep clean desperately needed (baseboard shoe moldings are gross, bath fans and vents throughout are dirt and dust covered). Again, Vista Cay resort is nice, the unit we stayed in the prior year was good. Some concerns inside of this unit and the host’s lack of concern to our issues. We stayed at another Vista Cay unit last year and all was good at the other unit. Vista Cay - Common areas all great

Great location, Spacious, but needs some attention to details

The location of this property could not be better. The place is very spacious and it has a beautiful view of the lake. The wifi was great and access to the pool and arcade were a plus. There were issues though. The ice maker is frozen over, the master bathroom toilet was broken, and there were not enough essentials or towels. A three day stay at a place this large should have more than one extra roll of toilet paper. There was no soap, shampoo, or body wash in the bathrooms and a super tiny bottle or dish soap. Attention to these details will improve this place for future guests for sure. I also wish check out would be a bit later. Something else on the plus side is that there's no expectation of removing linens or anything else the cleaning crew should be doing.

A great location with easy access to all the major theme parks. We found the condo was as listed, needs a little TLC in certain areas, but would recommend to any prospective travellers

Great place

This property was beautiful and very spacious! The reason I didn’t give 5’s on everything was because the mattress was very comfortable but the sheets and bedding were old, dingy and worn. I wasn’t sure if they had been washed and changed. Otherwise I highly recommend this place. The view was a sure win for me!!! Would absolutely recommend this place!!

*COVERUP*

Ok...to start off i had one guest arrive early who didn't understand the check-in instructions, so I called the so called hosts to get instructions (twice)...he then rudely tells me it was 5 o'clock in the morning where he was...I guess I was disturbing his beauty rest...so I just hung up and we figured it out ourselves ..upon entering the unit we see the door handle from the freezer laying ontop of the stove, and water was leaking from the freezer on to the floor...next...I listed I would be having 5 guests....they didn't supply enough bath towels so we had to go purchase some from Walmart....moving on,,, One guest left early and pulled the sheets from her bed to put in the washer and what she saw under those sheets was HORRIFIC!!! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! FILTHY MATTRESS COVER THAT LOOKED LIKE IT HADN'T BEEN WASHED IN OVER A YEAR!!!....I then check my bed and the EXACT SAME THING BUT EVEN WORSE!!! WHAT APPPEARED TO BE BLOOD STAINS AND EVERY OTHER KIND OF STAIN WAS PRESENT ON THOSE SHEETS AS WELL!!! I WAS HORRIFIED THAT THIS IS WHAT I WAS SLEEPING ON FOR 4 DAYS!!! I TEXTED THE HOST ( BECAUSE I DARE NOT CALL AND DISTURB HIS SLEEP) AND HAVE YET TO GET A REPLY!!!!! I HAVE NEVER IN MY TIMES OF TRAVEL ENCOUNTERED SUCH A FILTHY DISGUSTING UNIT!!!! YOU WOULD THINK WITH COVID THE UNIT WOULD BE IMMACULATE!!! It was not, and I have YET to hear from the host!!!! I WILL GIVE ONLY 1 STAR BECAUSE THE UNIT WAS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED....BUT THAT WAS JUST A COVERUP OF THE FILTH! VERY DISAPPOINTING

Great place to stay

We have stayed at Vista Cay several times. This unit was beautiful. Perfectly clean when we arrived. Great location. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great Stay!

Just returned from our trip and we had a great stay! The building is recently renovated and the unit has been updated. This unit is closest to the clubhouse and all amenities. The unit itself is very spacious and it was a comfortable stay for 9 adults. The balcony was comfortable and a relaxing view. Our only issue was that the property didn’t have any luggage carts! We had to make multiple trips with heavy luggage. The unit is so big, there would be space for a personal luggage cart in the laundry room or at least a wagon.

Great place and close to all the area attractions

Nice property - lot of food and super market options…Everything is within walking distance…Also has a big community pool and nice bar on premise…would stay again…Only downside is they do need some more paper towels, soap, trash bags, and dishwasher supplies…Otherwise great place (very spacious)

Great location but needs a little upkeep attention

Stayed here 4 nights with my husband , location is great near downtown & easy access to highways. I have a rental so I do pay attention to everything. Many lightbulbs needed to be replaced and one bedside light did not have a knob so no light. The place is huge and can accommodate 6-7 people. We slept in master 2 nights and mattress was just too soft, we then slept in the queen size and that was fine . There is a big laundry room but hey I always leave some detergent but got there & had to go out & buy a bottle really? I left the bottle hope the cleaning people leave it for the next guests. Overall not a horrible place just needs owners to check lights etc . Rental was clean & lots of kitchen tools if you cook in. Also Publix is right down the street with many eateries in the shopping center. Also needs more towels, only 1 facecloth in the whole place….

Nice, but could use some minor repairs.

For the most part, the unit is nice. However, there were little things that could be addressed. Some lights have burnt out bulbs, some fan remotes didn't work, kitchen faucet doesn't work properly, freezer door handle was missing.

Beautiful condo in great location!

Condo is located in a great location close to Universal Studios (15 min) and many restaurants within a five minute drive. Mike the manager was very easy to connect with and always responded to my texts. There was plenty of space for the six of us to spread out. We especially loved the balcony overlooking the lake. The pool was very nice, the hot tub had some issues while we were there. Overall we had a great time visiting many of the wonderful places in Orlando and surrounding area!

Great little getaway in Orlando

Very clean, Cozy & near a ton of places. pool area & bar were lovely.

Best place in Orlando

Many times you wonder if the pictures you see online are accurate once you walk into the place. That is not the case here. This a beautiful place to stay. The picture understate it if anything. Three great bedrooms, large bathrooms, and super clean. You do need to bring the paper items and soap that you will need for the week, but there is a grocery just down the street. The check in was as easy as they come and we did not have to do any cleaning before we left. If you need a place to stay in Orlando this is it.
