"Le Hibou is a lovely gite in a beautiful area of rural France. The gites comfortably accommodated 6 of us. Sarah, our host, was so friendly, very helpful and served a delicious breakfast! We cannot recommend le Hibou enough- hopefully we’ll return soon. "

Comfortable beds with duvet and extra pillows; three spacious bath or shower rooms (mind your head on the low beams upstairs between bed and bath) and there is plenty of storage/hanging space for clothes Extra blankets thoughtfully provided for colder nights and a cooling fan for the warmer ones. "Nous avons passés un très bon moment en famille dans cette belle demeure en pleine nature. L'endroit est très confortable et on s'y sent vite très bien. On est au calme, on a eu de belles soirées étoilées, la proximité des chevaux apporte une certaine sérénité. Le lieu est proche des grands axes routiers sans nuisances, il est donc facile de sillonner la région. Merci à Dominique et ses filles pour leur accueil, on garde l'adresse pour un prochain séjour !"

"I have to say this was the best vrbo I ever stayed in due to the amazing couple that owned and manages this place. They were helpful in so many ways. The place itself is relaxing and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of big cities but close enough to bike ride (which they have bikes to use) to some of the closer towns around if you don't mind a few hills to climb. "The pretty gite sits next to the impressive main house in large grounds with lovely features. The bedrooms were all very comfortable, dual aspect with a nice balcony off one of the bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped, there was a comfortable lounge and an outdoor table and chairs under the mulberry trees. We particularly loved hanging out at the pool and heading off on day trips in the local area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful."

"Super place, easy to get to local places like St Romaine, Aubeterre, and Limoges and Cognac. Hosts were very generous—great breakfasts, and made dinner for us one night. We’ll stay there again when we’re in the Chalais area"
