"The place is older and hasn't seen the best of maintenance in recent years it seems. The door to the bathroom in our room did not close due to misalignment. The shower stall had mold in the corners. The room itself smelled and felt damp. Nobody on site to complain to so we lived with it. Considering our experience and what was paid we would not come back unless other options were booked up. Yes the place is cheaper than a lot in the area however it was still overpriced in our eyes."

"Accommodations here are very basic, but it does the trick. Basic bed(s) in a small upstairs room with a small, but clean bathroom. Staff is super friendly and welcoming and that goes a long way. The restaurant serves quality food, including the made-to-order breakfast and the bar is well stocked and gets lively at night. I would recommend staying here but don't expect a 4 star experience. Great for a quick night stay or two, but might feel cramped longer than that."

"The room is clean but small. We could smell the coffee from our room when breakfast begins at 7pm. There is no refrigerator in our room, which is fine for us, as it is not hot summer yet. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant downstairs is terrific - we had the dinner and every dish was very well prepared, e.g. the authentic Scottish Grille, the black tempura pudding. The view in front of the dining room is amazing - either on light rainy day or blue sunny sky. Only wish the parking lot is bigger and the room is more updated."

"Very well presented property, stunning surroundings. Communication from the owner was very poor, no response to any messages prior to my stay and I had to ring to find out which cabin I was stopping in and how to collect my keys. This was by far the most expensive accommodation I’ve booked while working in and around the whole of Scotland for the last 3 year and I would have expected the check in to be flawless for the price paid."
