Lac Blanc, the upper of two glacial lakes in the Voges Alsace France.

This is the “white” lake at 1050m altitude with an awesome 300m hiking possibility straight up bouldering for an awesome view.
The “black” lake, Lac Noir is a little smaller and at an altitude of 950m also a nice walk to combine the two. Good pauzing possibilities wit huts and Auberges for drinks, resting and something good to eat as well.

Both are now used for hydro-power-generation so unfortunately swimming is not allowed.

"Spacieux et bien meublé! Nous avons apprécié le calme environnant et la proximité des attractions locales, L'hôte était très sympathique, nous faisant sentir les bienvenus dès notre arrivée"

"Wir sind mit 13 Personen angereist und hatten das ganze Haus für 6 Tage.Sehr schönes großes Haus mit vielen Schlafzimmern (7 insg.) und 4 Badezimmern (2x Dusche und Badewanne, 2x nur Dusche) plus 1 Toilette extra. Alles war wirklich sauber und ansprechend gestaltet. Es waren keine "Verschleißerscheinungen" zu sehen, was bei häufigem Wechsel leicht passieren könnte.Hier zwei Punkte, die nicht so gut waren: Warmwasser war leider ein Problem. Gerät fiel öfter aus und hat nicht genügend geliefert....

All the rooms were nice and clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and the garden was great for everyone. We enjoyed our stay a lot and are glad that we chose this place. "The house itself is beautiful, with nice kitchen and living spaces, as well as good size bedrooms. Sauna, hot tub and heated outdoor swimming pool. Great location for skiing in the winter, but as we went in the summer we enjoyed the local Alsace - Colmar, Riquewihr, etc. very close to Colmar, Turckheim."

"Nous avons passé un excellent week-end en famille dans la maison d’Emin. C’est une maison toute récente, très moderne et high tech aux prestations haut de gamme. Le jacuzzi et la salle de jeux sont un plus très agréable. Elle est très calme malgré la route à proximité et idéale pour visiter les marchés de Noel ou la route des vins.Emin qui habite à côté est très présent et réactif au moindre problème. Merci à lui pour son accueil 4 étoiles."

"Pros: Es gab ein Problem mit Holidu, ihr wurde die Buchung nicht angezeigt. Dennoch hat sie innerhalb von 1 bis maximal 2 Stunden das Haus gerichtet. Frau Balboa ist sehr nett. Ein schönes Haus mit guter Raumaufteilung."

Your timely communication about what was provided in the house, including towels, bathrobes, tea, coffee, and even baking paper, was incredibly helpful. "This is a fantastic hotel if you are visiting Colmar and want a 2 min walk to the train station. It’s a less than 10 min walk to little Venice and other landmarks are close by after wondering through the beautiful village of Colmar. I also wanted to send a “thank you” to the front desk and “Paul” especially he went above and beyond for us last night to help dry our clothes that didn’t quite air dry in our room. I was blown away by his kindness. He came up to our room took our clean damp clothes in a bag had them dried, even folded them and brought them back up to our room a hour later. What a wonderful employee Paul @ the Grand Hotel Bristol in Colmar is!! Thank you and we hope to come via again sometime in the future. "
