"This is a good enough rental but with some touches could be so much better. The biggest problem we had were the stairs to the bedroom, and if you have to use the bathroom you will be using them to descend from the loft beds. They are very narrow very steep and the bannister has come loose. This is a real safety problem and impossible for many people Throughout our stay my wife kept saying well this is how French rentals are. So you understand there was no toilet paper no paper towels no shampoo...

"Very good stay in St Valery. The cottage was well situated, just a short walk along the river to everything. The peace was only broken by the train at the end of the garden and a seal having his breakfast outside one morning! The stairs are steep and a touch slippy - my teenage daughter fell once, but this had been flagged up by other reviewers, and no one else had a problem. "Property was well equipped, modern and immaculately clean and tidy. The owners were friendly and welcoming. It is fairly small, but perfect for a couple. It is beside the owner's home in a pleasant, quiet and pretty residential area, with nearby access to lovely forest walks that take you out to the dunes and the beach. The town centre is on the seafront and has a nice shopping area and some picturesque old houses. It is only about 40 mins from the Eurotunnel, so is easy to get to by car. We...

"It was very spacious, but the whole apartment smelled as if there had been a leakage. The goose pond looked drab and the geese made alot of noise. The chairs at the pool were all broken, thee tennis court was expensive and so were the bicycles. On top of it, we had an accident with the blankets. We had taken the package including sheets etc. We asked for them to be cleaned. We had to pay € 24!"

"The house is modern, nicely decorated, very nice and functional. Kitchen is well equipped, there is a nice little garden with a barbecue. Easy to park in front of the house, electric shutter, very important if you like to sleep in the dark. Nice tips from the host on what to do."

"The property is nice and very clean, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is great overlooking the marina and within a walking distance to the beach, the towns shops and the supermarket. We parked for free nearby opposite a nice bakery only 2 minutes walk to the hotel, we could see our car from the balcony. The bakery is a plus as it opens very early in the morning and sells bread, pastries, sandwiches and pizza so great for buying meals. "
