Aston Islander on the Beach

"The hotel has beautifully landscaped gardens and is right on the beach. The pool and bar were very nice but they didn’t have music at the Pool / bar. Our room was in decent condition clean comfortable bed, but the patio furniture was kind of dated. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance and you can take morning walks along the beach on the walkway there. It was very relaxing and not crowded like some of the big resorts. I highly recommend it."

"We really enjoyed our time at this resort. We had ocean view and they offered 3 pools with jacuzzi to choose at any given time. The grounds were so lush with beautiful tropical foliage. And we felt very safe with security on the property grounds."

"The location is great. Right by the beach, centrally located to all the attractions. Pool and pool area are great too. The rest in my opinion falls short of the 4 star, $500+ per night (with all the taxes and fees) hotel. I would give it 3.75 stars but there is no such option. Some areas are dated. You can tell the hotel tries to maintain them by painting stuff over but it shows. For me the worst were supply and return grills for the A/C unit. Very dirty. We actually had been turning the A/C off as much as we could so we would not breathe in the dust!! Thankfully the wonderful ocean breeze helped :) Breakfast buffet is decent but it falls short of the Marriott's standards. Some more daily variety would be nice."

"This was an amazing place to stay while enjoying Kauai. Everything about the condo listing was accurate and, honestly, better than even the pictures show. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again without hesitation. There is no better location on Kauai and the ocean front access and views are the absolute best. Thanks again for a wonderful place to spend our family vacation."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This ground floor unit had two bedrooms (1king, 2 twin beds, a large living/dining area, kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms. This setup worked great for our family of four. There was no A/C but the tradewinds and fans kept the temperature comfortable. It was in a quiet area close to highways, Lihu’e, Kapa’a, etc. The location of the condo within the complex was great. There is an amazing ocean view from the main living area and one bedroom. The unit was close to laundry and parking. There were enough supplies and towels. It was useful to have a closet full of beach gear/toys/cooler. The pool was warm and suprisingly deep at one end which my kids loved. The walking trail that goes along the coastline was accessible from the grounds (which by the way are well maintained and beautiful). We were able to use the trail to walk to Lydgate Park in just a few minutes. The location of the condo was central and convenient for getting to other areas of Kauai. The unit shows its age but it was clean, comfortable, and more than adequate for our needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay. It’s perfect! Very clean and well maintained. Host was always responsive and checking in on a regular basis. The location is great. Right on the beach with a great view of the ocean from the balcony. Sunrise and night time sky views were spectacular. Convenient location with lots of stuff to do within very close distance. Coconut Marketplace is awesome! Luau’s, markets and cute shopping places. Downtown is fun and very close. Kayaking down the river was super fun. There are beaches within couple steps, we could walk down from the place to enjoy the ocean. Plenty chairs, towels and umbrella to use. We highly recommend this place."
