The James Hotel Rotterdam

"Our room was large and bed was comfy. Interesting configuration to have separate water closet. The food market on 2 was handy to grab a snack if you didn’t want to go out. Great location for shopping and restaurants . Only 2 elevators so there can be a wait at times. there was a fair amount of construction noise during the day on the building next door. I expect that’s temporary. Would stay there again."

"Great location and people were excellent. One note, lack of wash cloths for face washing or bathing. I did mention it to the folks and they seemed to appreciate the news. The mattress was reasonably new and semi firm. East to get a good nights sleep. Convenient to the train or taxi to get to the Cruise port."

"The only thing I didn't like was when I walked in and was seated at their restaurant on the 7th floor, I was ignored for 5 minutes so I left, the servers must of had better things to do. The rest of staff including the front desk and buffet staff were great."

"Not much to complain about. Place is well maintained. Staff is super helpful. POD was small yet comfortable and cleverly arranged to give me enough space to contain all of the luggage I had. Bed was comfortable. Only con was the lack of FREE hot beverages such as tea or coffee that you MIGHT get at other places. Other than that it is a very nice looking place in a very central location."

"Handy for tram lines 1 and 9 from Den Haag main railway stations also bus 23 from Van LOI station and 21 bus. Handy for the pier and Kurhaus and amenities. Very helpful gentleman on reception who upgraded my room for free. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Bar was good but expensive-EUR 11 for a pint of beer. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel."

"Overall very happy with our stay. Greeted on arrival, the guy on reception was very polite and helpful. The bed was huge in the queen room and the room spotless. The only issue was one night there were fireworks being set off in the car park-obviously I have no idea if they were connected with the hotel or if they have any control (if it is a private space or public), however the noise wasn't an issue but the debris that covered the cars in the car park. We left the next day for a trip to find the car covered in debris and pieces off the fireworks meaning we then spent €6 getting the car clean again. It didn't happen again for the remainder of our trip and we would still stay here again if in the area"
