Great campsite! Well maintained and had privacy yet close to town for convenience! Camper in good condition and was comfortable to sleep in! Best part is dog friendly! Our pups enjoyed the huge yard!
Property was just what we hoped for, was the perfect base for us.
Really enjoyed the sunrises in the morning, the screened area was great, will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
My partner and pup had an amazing time! Everything was very well maintained, the camper had everything you can think of. We hope to be back next summer!
We had an awesome girls trip at the campsite. Feels like you are out in the wilderness, but actually just a short drive to Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains. RV was very clean and well stocked
This was a great way to conclude our family road trip of touring some highlights of Michigan. The campsite was everything we imagined, plus more. Keith was a great host and the setup had everything we needed. The private location was topnotch and close to the Porcupine Mountains. Wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend staying here!
Amazing property, quiet and relaxing. Perfect location with plenty of hiking and site seeing. Keith had great communication and was an amazing host. We would recommend renting to anyone. Great time!
My husband and I loved our stay! The grounds were immaculate and the camper had everything you need. It was so peaceful watching the stars from the dock. The Porcupine Mountains were a short drive away. Keith is an exceptional host and we can't wait to go back.
The whole RV and campground was clean, organized and well-maintained. The location on the river was absolutely stunning for fishing. The location in proximity to many activities for exploring the area was perfect. Definitely will retune and definitely would recommend this property for either sportsman or families. Lot’s to do and see!
We stay here every summer and will continue. This private campground is perfect for our family. We fished off the dock, played yard games, board games in the screen porch, sat around the fire, and roasted marshmallows. Our kids are worn out after a long weekend of camping and adventures in the Porcupine Mountains. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
This place is very nice and even better than the pictures. I expected excellence based on description, pictures and reviews. Our experience was beyond all expectations! The property is nestled far enough away for a quiet and relaxing experience but still close to marina, shopping, etc. I would stay here again.
Our stay at Keith’s was fantastic! Location is close to everything but still secluded and private! We had so much fun exploring the Porcupine Mountains, enjoying the beauty of the many waterfalls and renting ATVs to check out the trails. It was great coming back to the RV for grilling and yard games! The guys spent plenty of time fishing off the dock! Perfect family vacation!
We were meeting friends from around the states and this was a great spot for a large group. Exactly as described in a very private location. We had 18 people in our group, a 35 ft fifth wheel, 4 tents and a pop up. Plenty of space for everyone
The property was as listed. Very quiet and peaceful! When we drove in we were greeted by 10 turkeys. My husband was very excited!! Beautiful setting on the river.
Location is private, and its feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere but town is 5 minutes away. Precut and organized fire wood made making a campfire a breeze. Hosts seemed to want to make sure you have everything you may need. Amazing place!
A perfect vacation for my family. We enjoyed all the provided ammenities: games, fishing, grilling, etc. Close to porcupine mountains, we hiked and did lots of site seeing. A few mintues out of town, close to groceries and restaurants. Great communication with owner. Homeaway from home! Keith went above and beyond to provide everything.
This property is amazing. The grounds are well maintained and very organized with so many little touches! Screened porch with a little fridge, indoor and outdoor games, a dock for fishing, picnic tables, Alexa with Amazon music, lots of space for friends. The camper was very well stocked and super clean. Being on the river was great. We saw eagles and sand hill cranes. Very private setting. The kitchen even had an air fryer and a presto pizza cooker.
If you love campfires, beautiful river waterfront, well-appointed accommodations, incredible privacy, outsmarting mosquitos, fishing gear availability, starry nights and fireflies, seeing Aurora Borealis reflect on the river, a beautiful camper with so much comfort (and air conditioning!) ...Then youve hit the jackpot here! The screen-building by the river with a cool, retro, red fridge is not only fun but a savior from sun and mosquitos... the "Michigan state bird" at various times of the summer. The lovely river breeze comes right through... and the sling chairs are plentiful and comfy. Its the perfect place for board games, cards, and the meal prepared over the fire or in the camper kitchen. Also, it's a great way to be outside during a refreshing rain. Everything you could need for your vacation is here.. even firewood - large bundles very reasonably priced! It's perfect if you love everything about camping... and yet crave peaceful privacy and all the comforts and conveniences of home. The property and frontage are extremely expansive, with views that are stunning. It is perfect for familes - there are two other camper hookups. Or old friends, couples... bridal or groomsmen parties even! We loved it, my friend and I. We must have said how wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful it was 30 times per day! The hosts were just wonderful! Very kind and helpful above and beyond. I hope so much to be back again and again.Book it, you'll love it!
Our family (2 adults, older teen and small dog) had a great vacation at this extremely private RV along the Ontogonan River. We lucked into some cooler August temperatures during our stay. While we only caught and released a "sunfish" (& saw other fish) and heard coyotes nearby (like, surrounding us?) the guest book mentioned catching sturgeon etc off the dock and sighting a bear during their stays. Wild turkeys peek into the campsite and run along the road leading to the campsite. The two evenings that had mosquitoes at the private dock were the best for fishing.
We would return and perhaps ask friends to camp at the empty campsite on the property next time.
The history museum and local restaurants are exceptional. The local grocery store is well stocked with all brands including organic and other specialty foods and water (we didn't like the taste of the potable water at the campsite).
The RV is fully stocked with tons more necessities than a hotel kitchen. We wanted extra towels for our dog and for the RV floor for boots and found some at the huge dollar store near the grocery.
If you have never stayed in an RV, you should stop into a dealership and do a walk through. The steps into this RV are steep and the door opens outward over the steps. The screen door hooks to the outer door, and you need to be quick. There is little floor space. The bathroom is small. Convenient hooks line the walls, but be prepared. The views are incredible and the bed is very comfortable.
