"This is a beautiful house with spacious rooms and classic furniture (and the host was quick to answer questions). It has a real nice kitchen, washer & dryer, and two bathrooms, so the six of us were quite comfortable. Totally safe, it feels kind of like staying at your grandmother’s house. I loved just sitting on the shady front porch with the breeze coming off the water, looking at the boats in the marina. We had a great vacation with this house as our base. We drove around the peninsula looking at historic buildings (identified in a book on the coffee table), eating at a seafood restaurant, and seeing the historic town of Cape Charles and its beach. We took the Joyce Marie II out to Tangier Island. We went to the town of Chincoteague and Assateague National Seashore. And we just enjoyed each other’s camaraderie in a beautiful setting."
