"Where is the 10 stars option?? This property was so unique and unlike your typical cottage. The pool was clean and refreshing and the live music poolside was the icing on the cake. My three kids, my husband and I and two dogs fit comfortably in one floating cottage. This place is phenomenal. I’m already thinking of when we can go again!"

"Everything was fine! The Hotel is being renovated, but appears to be mostly done. The only item I would mention is there appears to be some putty of some type used in the bathroom for the renovations that was not totally cleaned off the shower tiles. "

"Very nice property, we made good use of the dock and were able to launch my 18.5 ft boat from the concrete ramp. Fishing, crabbing, boating were good (though crabs a bit on small side) the cottage was clean, well organized and neat. Everything was really nice and Genevieve was extremely responsive and pleasant to deal with."

"Front staff was amazing. Very accommodating. The room was nice but smelled a bit musty. Could have been cleaned more as there was a bottle cap and dead fly on the floor. Perhaps invest in fly traps as the fly who decided to room with us was a nuisance and tricky enough not to get swatted. Bathroom door did not close all the way but that didn’t bother us. Water pressure was great. Property area is maintained nicely. Breakfast options were surprisingly good and in a clean and welcoming area. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There are some rusted areas but it is much improved from my last visit here around Covid time. New management and I can see the positive difference. "

"We loved our stay at this VBRO. We stayed during the Labor Day Weekend. The house was super clean and the grounds were well maintained. The cottage is not far from Chincoteague (45 min) so we stopped on our way down and back home - visit Captain Barry. We ate dinners at Mallards (music on Friday Nights only 10 minutes away) and the Island House Restaurant in Wachapreague (25 minutes away). We liked both, but the Corner Bakery was awesome. The donuts were out of this world and I don't even like donuts that much (don't bother just buying 1, you will need a box). Lunch at Foggy Place Cafe was also worth noting. For being in the middle of nowhere, there were lots of shops and stores (walmart, movies, art shops, farmers market...) within 15 minutes. Fishing on the property was good. From the dock I caught croaker, red drum and many speckled trout (also caught fish from the kayak). Bait fish and jumping fish were everywhere. We caught crabs from the dock with a piece of rope tied to chicken wings scooping up the crabs using the net provided. At night we had bonfires and the night sky from the dock was amazing. The water was calm and the boat traffic was very low so my nervous wife was able to kayak (everyone should do this, we saw so many birds). As a reminder the area's regional bird is the mosquito - so bring bug spray and you will be ok. Meg was a great host and provided everything we needed. I can't recommend this property highly enough."
