"We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo. There were a few cosmetic issues but all in all a great place. My one recommendation, if you are doing any tours where they pick you up at the hotel, ask them to pick you up at the Astra Condo lobby on Changklan Road. Google maps the HOC5 about a block away on a back street. We will likely stay here next time we are in Chiang Mai. "
"Very clean, comfortable apartment with a balcony where you can watch the amazing sunsets. The infinity pool that runs the length of the building is beautiful. Grab ride to the Old City is about three pounds"
"Perfect for my stay. Quiet. Please note that city Center is about 15 mins drive away. Nearby you can find a supermarket, 7/11 and some other eateries and laundry services "

"This was the perfect quiet place just a short walk to the town. Our hostess was delightful and the amenities couldn't be better. If we visit Chiang Mai again, which we fully intend, we know exactly where we'll stay!"
"Apartment style with hotel style ammenities. The owners are very nice and accomidating with recommendations for the area. Great communication. Located a short walkable distance outside the old city walls offering a quieter more local experience. Has a big gate that locks at night (10 I believe) giving added security. Very clean and well maintained. Room serviced daily. There is a nice bakery pretty close by. Recommend 10/10. Stayed 5 nights but would stay longer."
"Unfortunately the place wasn't represented well by the pictures on the site. Different decor and quality of space. We booked this place because of its pool and bathtub and weren't able to use either. The pool was shut down for maintenance from damage of floods we didn't find this out till we checked in if we new before hand we would have booked another place. We wanted to use the bathtub but there was no plug for it and the area around the tub was cracked with mold and unpleasant. The shower is...

"Great breakfast with good variety. Super nice staff! Room was very nice and they gave us water bottles in the fridge every day. A great place to stay if you want to be just outside of Chiang Mai but still really close to all the markets and anything else you would want to walk to. "

"Dear friends
The joy of my first trip to Chiang Mai is still there, but it's already been almost a month.
I'm a team leader in a service industry. I was already looking forward to Shangri-La's strict service because I had experience using Cebu Shangri-La, but the Shangri-La I felt this time was the best.
The kindness and consideration of Ms. Piano, the lobby, and the front staff, who were lounge duty, touched me as well and made me feel all comfortable in the hotel.
Everyone in my team listens to my love and praise in Chiang Mai and everyone is preparing for the trip to Chiang Mai. Shangri-La was the best and the most meaningful place in Chiang Mai.
Thank you again for my daughter's dainty birthday cake and all the moments that gave her joy.
Even if I visit Chiang Mai again, I will definitely choose Shangri-La. Thank you."

"Love the location and the service of this hotel. The only thing that I didn’t think was that great was the breakfast. But you’re city center and there are tons of options nearby to choose from "

"I can’t say enough about the service at POR! The staff went above and beyond to make my first visit to Thailand easy and so enjoyable. They helped to arrange for my daily activities and were quick to answer all my questions. The daily breakfasts were amazing and the beverages and snacks available all day were definitely a plus. Thank you everyone at POR!"
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Melia Chiang Mai is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at—hands down.
My partner and I spent 9 nights here at the end of June, and everything about our stay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) checked out, we were treated with such genuine care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The service was absolutely top-tier across the board—from housekeeping, pool staff, and restaurant teams to the doormen and security. Every single interaction felt warm, seamless, and thoughtful. It’s rare to find a hotel where every staff member takes so much pride in their role, and it shows.
Our room was spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with stunning rooftop views, a relaxing pool area, and a calm, elevated atmosphere throughout. We genuinely looked forward to coming “home” to Melia each day.
I got emotional at checkout—not because the vacation was ending, but because we were leaving such a special place. This wasn’t just a stay—it was an experience. Melia Chiang Mai has set a new standard, and we can’t wait to return. If you’re coming to Chiang Mai, do yourself a favour—stay here."

How do you know if an apartment is the best choice for your stay?
Offering a kitchen for convenient meals, an apartment usually is more spacious than a traditional hotel room. Apartments are a good option for solo travelers who want to stay in at night and plan out their next day, and also for families wanting the conveniences of home.
