"We spent three nights in Geraldine’s adorable apartment. It’s exactly as described and the location is excellent- only a block away from the commercial stuff- quiet and easy to find. We enjoyed cooking each night since the most fabulous fish market with absolutely just caught fish is right across the street. The kitchen is very well equipped and Geraldine is adorable and helpful. She stayed in touch throughout our stay texting to assure our satisfaction, and she offered both French and English information which was also helpful for us. I would definitely make a return visit to this historic and quaint town and I’d absolutely stay in Geraldine’s apartment. "

"Great place in great location on a hill overlooking the harbour and as a working lighthouse it is quite quirky. Very well located to visit a number of WW2 beaches, batttlefields and memorials which is why we were there. Also a short distance from the medieval town of Bayeux. Port en Bessin itself quite small but some very good restaurants and a couple of bars. As we were there early in the season some of the restaurants were closed but enough for us to try a different restaurant on all four nights we were there. We were a party of 4 male adults and found the house very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Maison du Phare."

"This is the third time we have stayed at this house. The location is fabulous and the owner is very responsive to inquiries. Some of the furniture cushions could use a refresh. Our only complaint was that we were unable to control the temperature of the main level. The week we stayed was cold and rainy. Sabine turned up the temperature for us remotely, but it never seemed warm enough. The kitchen is well stocked and a washer and dryer was a plus. We love Port en Bessin and look forward to returning."
