This is a fantastic option for starting or ending your Alpine route journey. Loved the serenity of the location, facility & service. Onsens on site; some rooms have private baths. Chose the half board rate, and the experience of a multi-course dinner and full service breakfast was well worth it!
The hotel is nice, but the welcome drinks on arrival is ridiculous. The picked the cheapest quality drinks on the market, especially the orange juice. It tastes so bad, it doesn’t resemble orange at all. It had a taste of detergent… disgusting!!!
The previous day, we stayed in a nice hotel in Hakuba, that was slightly cheaper, and they had not only welcome drinks, they had 4 hours every day, for all guests, regardless on their room type and their plan, free drinks, including alcohol and very good snacks. Real juice, not some artificial disgusting drink…
On their more positive side; rooms were very nice and clean. Dinner was nice too.
Excellent choice for a weekend getaway! Well situated with local restaurants in walking distance. Within half an hour drive to most of the ski resorts in hakuba area
Very friendly and helpful front desk. The tatami room was very clean as was the bathroom and private onsen on the terrace. Both the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were excellent with seamless service. A very nice stay at an excellent hotel in an out of the way village.
Great place to relax and enjoy the balcony’s hot tub. Few km away from the dam and is incredible view. Very close to public bus connecting to sky resorts.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The room is spacious and a little bit cold at night. Located on the fringe, quiet and a bit far from the bus station.
The hotel staff and people were spectacular! Breakfast was traditional Japanese style food, which may or may not suit westerners. Hotel is a bit dated and it shows. Our room was clean upon arrival; however, we encountered bugs and mosquitoes inside our 3rd floor room. This didn’t particularly bother us, but it may have an impact on other guests. There’s also not a lot to do, activity wise around this hotel. I would highly recommend renting a car (prior to arriving at Keisui) or else you may suffer from boredom during the day. If you didn’t rent a car, take advantage of their daily shuttle service at 10am, which takes you to Shinano-Omachi Station. From there, you can either tour the cute city or rent an e-bike and go sightseeing.
We enjoyed the Onsen and the apple juice given on check in the town is really small and nothing was open or there was nothing to walk to
I would suggest that the hotel have some north american items on the menu that they can prepare for North Americans
Great hotel! We booked a room with a private onsen for our honeymoon and it was magical! The area around the hotel didn’t provide much, we wandered around for half an hour and there weren’t any restaurants open.
