"The property was very acceptable to us both, it was clean well fitted out and we had everything we needed. We had expected an older style property that would be within the wood land and standing on its own. The property is infact on a housing development of new properties, this realisation fazed us somewhat, as was the fact that the developers were still undertaking major road works. "Wir haben eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit in einem sehr schönen und ruhig gelegenen Ferienhaus in der Vendée verbracht und genossen. Das Wetter war sehr sonnig und warm, so dass wir viele Aktivitäten in der Umgebung durchführen und unsere Freunde in der Vendée besuchen konnten. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Urlaub. "We enjoyed our stay in this lovely little property. It is peaceful, except unfortunately the neighbour chose to build a new drive, which took a week and a half to finish with diggers and lorries working all day. But, we were out everyday so it didn’t really matter too much. Everything in the Gite was spotless, we had everything we wanted. Not far from the beach.Veillon Plage is beautiful and has 3 bars If you are fit and heathy it is walkable or a cyclist I think would do it in half an hour....

"Le gîte est une grande maison campagnarde au calme avec un très grand jardin. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à 2 familles (11 personnes) sans avoir l’impression d’être « les uns sur les autres », ce qui était précieux. Ce gîte de campagne a aussi les défauts de ses qualités (mobilier un peu ancien, débit de l’eau limité quand les 3 douches fonctionnent en même temps), mais il a un indéniable cachet que nous avons beaucoup apprécié."

"The property is well fitted out and has everything one needs for a trouble free and relaxing holiday. I surrounded by farms and hence is peaceful and very quiet at night. Getting bread for breakfast did involve using my car to cover the 2 miles or so to the village. Jard sur Mar is only about 10 miles away and is a lovely seaside town with a fine harbour and is well worth a visit, as are the other towns and villages in the region. I will definitely consider returning in the future."

"We had a wonderful 2 week stay here. The cottage is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It has everything you could need. The pool is fabulous - much bigger than we expected and very clean. Sabine and her family were great - on hand if you needed anything, and very friendly, but otherwise we didn’t really see them at all. A great base for exploring the Vendee (especially its beaches). Would definitely recommend!"

"Compact and comfortable. Well fitted out and storage for our bikes. Michel and Paulette are great hosts, made us very welcome and provided help with local maps and attractions. This GÎTE in their garden is very quiet and peaceful, only 5 min walk to the coast and about 20 mins into town. For us, the attraction was the convenience of the Vendee cycle ways which are minutes away and are great ways to explore north and south of St Gilles on flat firm surfaces.
