Lodge at Schroon Lake

"100% recommend the Lodge at Schroon Lake. The location is perfect, the lakefront beach is adorable, the gym, gameroom, and indoor pool are excellent. We stayed in one the the "Bird's Nest" cabins, which was very cute, though very small and very basic, but I liked being a little bit out of the way from the busy-ness of the resort. The restaurant is nice, offering a simple menu, with all the expected items. Nothing fancy, but fine. The breakfast buffet was a good value. Our bed was super comfortable with nice pillows and good bedding. The water took forever to warm up in the sink and shower. The cabin was a little creaky, but that's part of the rustic charm. The main building rooms are much more in a typical hotel-style. There are fire pits in spots across the large wooded lawn, and s'more fixings are available every night. The town of Schroon Lake is about a half mile up the road, with lots of casual dining and few cutes shops. There was a wedding there, and the staff seemed to do a great job with the arrangements for that, but they closed both bars early for the wedding events, leaving any other guests who weren't part of the wedding out of luck, if they wanted to keep their own party going. Not a big deal, really. I'd definitely go back."

"Self checkin was very easy. Our door would not shut a couple of times but we figure it out .Nice decor Quaint town We had an issue with our AC but they fixed it right away. Bedding was very nice but bed felt like our heads were tipped down The floor was a little sandy. Very quiet area. Every communication was done by text. . We communicated with Daphne and she was wonderful!"

"Leslie and Emily are two amazing women. When we first showed up, we weren’t sure but they showed us around property and as we got to know them and the property as they are very hands on and they are great people. The water tube bed in the Richard Glamp was interesting to sleep on; I did great my husband not so much. Only writing this so you know. The fact that they made pizza for a nominal fee everyday was a great concept as there isn’t much around there to eat. They also do same thing for breakfast. This is definitely a place to unplug; we really enjoyed our stay."

"This house is a Gem. It blew our minds when we arrived. It was so clean & every detail was thought of. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen is stacked with everything you need. And there’s a 2nd kitchen also ! So no worries about keeping your food cold…. No cramming in 1 frig.The lake was beautiful and clean.There are so many kayak’s & even a paddle boat. We will be returning. Thanks Charlie for making our vacation such a memorable one."

"It was a great stay! The queen matteress needs to be replaced. It sloped down towards the floor on the one side... It was squished down as if that was the spot everyone sits. There was no paddle boat that was shown in the pics however, there was a canoe.There is a creek near the cabin that is almost completely surrounded by trees and shaded so we didn't utilize it because there were a lot of bugs.Overall we were very happy with the stay!"

River bank lodge just minutes to Lake George with heated salt water pool

"Place is beautiful. Perfect spot also. Very close to the town of Lake George. Only a few things I need to complain about. The beds were not very comfortable and the house could have been cleaner. All in all we all enjoyed ourselves. Took our entire family and we were very comfortable there. Our host was great also."
