"We kicked off our honeymoon at this property and it was absolutely amazing! Not only did we get to check in early after a long trip from Canada but they upgraded us to a room with a stunning view of the Cathedral!! Waking up every morning felt like a dream. The staff was wonderful and we loved the location. We would highly recommend and I hope to make it back here some day!"

"Spotless clean room, working desk, great internet wireless, elevator working, very good heating and hot water. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice breakfast. Smoking area outside, even standing, but with wall asthray. Very good area in very short walking distance (max 250 meters) to kiosks, restaurants, bars. 4.5 km from main Cologne train station, a 10-12 euro by Uber. Great price on BB rate, and excellent value for money. Not luxury, to say this, and maybe in need to change some carpets etc and improve minor details, but spotless clean, at least the room I had and what else we saw during a night stay. It exceeded my expectations after reading the bad reviews, but maybe they had changes in management and personnel. Most glad I would book it again if I need an overnight stay in that area in Cologne (2.5 km from University Hospital of Cologne)."

"We loved our stay at the Rhein Hotel. Rooms are gorgeous and the location is amazing, it’s right on the River. There’s a restaurant and bar under the hotel which is great. It’s very close to the city centre and there lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The main train station is a 10 minute walk. A lovely buffet breakfast is offered two doors down at the Lowenbrau hotel. An extensive range of hot and cold food. We would definitely stay again. "

"Staff was awesome by providing restaurant recommendations and sites to visit. Very efficient check in. The elevator system is confusing. There are parking garage elevators and then there hotel floor elevators. I don’t believe the hotel floor elevators were clearly labeled. A couple of people, like myself, were confused."

"Really good hotel in a nice area. Cool vibe and an excellent rooftop bar. Breakfast was good but 29 euro seems a bit steep. Rooms cool and bed very comfortable. Would definitely go back but be warned bar was very busy Friday night and had to queue to get in. "
