"We did a weekend getaway so the area was mostly quite. The place was clean but for the freezer that was full of ice cubes everywhere. It is a great apartment, has just about everything you need. Clean linen which is very important to us. I would have liked a more secure parking place but we had no issues."

"I loved everything about this place. It is located in a quiet area and also in a area that made all of our adventuring a close drive. We were able to meet the owners and had a very nice conversation with them. We plan to come back and enjoy more of the moutain trails and would love to stay here again."

"The apartment is under an occupied space. Noise was minimal but definitely noticeable. Very steep staircase down from driveway to apartment. Home was clean, roomy, and the view was lovely."

"Very enjoyable. Incredible view. Rustic, but had everything we needed. Approach road is paved but not for the faint of heart - it is one lane and steep, with several hairpin turns. Gas fire is nice but is not vented to the outside. Highlight was seeing a bear!"

"Cozy Upper Room was perfect! The location was wonderful, the accommodations were superb, and the town of Black Mountain was so enjoyable! We really enjoyed eating our meals on the deck, especially our morning coffee. The birds were so vocal in the mornings! And the tub was such a luxury!! We also loved meeting Ottie and Taz, the dogs!
