"I had an amazing stay. The building itself was beautiful with high ceilings and friendly staff. There are plenty of places to eat close by and the hotel is not too far from Cannery Row. There is only street parking available but I had not problem finding parking nearby for overnight. If you like staying in hotels with charm and history I would highly recommend this location."

"My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights here for my birthday. The full Ocean view from the balcony was lovely and to top it off we got to watch the nearly full lunar eclipse from there. The hotel is nicely located between Canary Row and old wharf. Since we enjoy walking we didn't drive anywhere. Convenient parking too."

"Loved the spacious premium room we had for a 4-night stay (has very comfortable large living room with couch/other seating, TV). Walkable to wharf, pedestrian path and everything in town. Self-serve coffee outside in courtyard in the morning was great and appreciated that we could take some breakfast to go - not a ton of options but good for a small bite in the morning. Staff was nice."

"What a gem in Monterey! First time we stayed here and we are so impressed! Breakfast is included and there is a nice patio to relax in. Our room was on the third floor over the little babbling brook and included a fireplace. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of outlets for phones etc. Can we talk about the comfortable beds??!!! Not too soft not too hard. Room had a little table and two chairs for eating. The elevator was handy for my mom who gets around slowly. I look for fridge, microwave, elevator and location and Colton Inn hit all of these. Super close to Macys and the mall as well as downtown, the wharf and pier. Starbucks was just a little walk to downtown as well as the walking/bike path along the water. Also super close to restaurants and attractions. We loved our stay and will definitely book again!"
