I got the shot I wanted after a lot of research, 17’000kms and a week of travel, a very early morning, a sketchy, sandy motorbike ride and a little bit of blind luck in the form of a local kid who pointed me in the right direction. "Expedia confirmed this reservation and immediately took my money. However, upon arriving at this hotel we were informed of several lies Expedia told us: 1) The hotel does not allow foreign guests 2) The hotel has not accepted third party reservations for over two years. All bookings are made directly to the hotel. 3) No one from Expedia or any other third party contacted them to confirm my reservation or resolve the problem I was dealt by expedia's lies. "

"Nice guest house with very happy helpful staff. Offered a choice of rooms the one we chose was spacious clean with a comfy bed and an adequate bathroom. Air con worked fine. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace will keep you going all day. Nice place to sit and chill out as well. Hotel owner very helpful in booking bus tickets to next destination. It's central to most of what you need to see and do in Bagan. Plenty of places to eat a short walk to the end of the road. Recommended."

"Saw Nyein San was the highlight of our entire trip to Myanmar. The amazing, friendly, generous staff run a very clean, comfortable guesthouse, and are very helpful with any travel needs. Our room was clean, insect-free, and had strong A/C - everything you'd want in a Burmese guesthouse. Also, the staff makes an incredible breakfast that we looked forward to each day in Bagan - definitely try their mohinga and Shan noodles! "People were great!!! They made us feel at home and even brought a band to play some nice Christmas songs for all the guests. I must mention however that there is no electricity during the day. Thank you all for your kindness. "
