"Let me start by saying the staff and service was excellent. You could not fault them for trying to please and ensuring that they made you as welcome and comfortable as possible. But the camp itself was very run down and showers and general facilities disappointing. The blame for this has to be with the owners of the camp who have failed to spend money on decent facilities. Lodge Amboseli, the hotel administrator did not meet me warmly, suspecting that I really paid for the stay? How will I prove it? "Overall we had a really good time at this property. Room was spacious and well-appointed, staff were great especially Patrick our game driver and Benson the barman. We were a little disappointed with the food (for example no bacon at breakfast and limited options) but it was adequate. We loved the Masai dance and our game drives were great - very educational and relaxed."
