Toyoko Inn Aizuwakamatsu Ekimae

"Easy access to train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Half the building is smoking, half not. We didn't smell the smoking from our non smoking room, but you can smell it a little in the multi purpose areas. Room was nice and a good size. Bed was very hard. The outside was quiet, but you could hear people in the halls and and in other rooms coughing through the walls. There's only one elevator so you sometimes had to wait a bit, especially around breakfast. Breakfast was traditional japanese, with things like katsu, rice, soup, salad, veggie sides, bread roll,eggs and ham. Amenities: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, pj's (one size fits all-- too small for my hubby) and slippers. There's some food options within walking distance."

"This was the best hotel I've stayed In Japan. They had everything I needed, everything was clean, they even put a new full change of towels, 2 water bottles, coffee, tea ect on my door the next day. Very happy"

"The room was just like any business hotel room. It was clean but definitely dated in some places. Breakfast buffet was great. Free refreshments. Onsen was great. I added breakfast by paying extra when i made this reservation, but at the check in, I was told that it's not included. In the end all was fine."

Aizuwakamatsu Washington Hotel

"This was a nice hotel located very close to aizuwakamatsu station. It was dated- the bathroom was clean, but had a kind of old smell. The air conditioning didn’t work well, but it was cool enough to open the window. There were no laundry facilities, but there was a coin laundry pretty close by. We were given drink vouchers for each night’s stay but we didn’t use them because we felt underdressed for the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful- we transferred luggage and they were very helpful with that. Close to a 7-eleven and restaurants were nearby. Overall a nice stay and would stay again if going to the Aizu area."

"Staying here was a great experience. Relaxing in our private onsen while looking out at the mountain and city was stunning. Our other favorite part was the dinner - our server was so amazing with us and compliments to the chef for preparing the delicious food. As foreigners, it was our first time trying some of these foods, and we enjoyed most of it. Thank you!"
