"No help for luggage "

"Our stay was fine. The pool is the best part. The staff were lovely as well, if not perhaps enough of them. Dinner seemed overpriced for what we got. The night was cold (to be expected), therefore the tent got cold (to be expected), and one of our bed heaters wasn’t working (unfortunate). Lots of neighbourhood dogs barking throughout the night; a bit hard to sleep. It was fine for a night but I wouldn’t stay again. "

"We had a nice night at Khan River Lodge. The bed and cottage were comfy and the staff was very kind. It is a two hour ride from Windhoek to the town and a forty five minute ride down a terrible dirt road to get to the hotel. Also we had no WiFi until a guest of the hotel reset the router, and then again it was only by the office that we were able to receive it."

"It is the oldest private game preserve, and it shows. Wrinkled pictures in frames filled with dead bugs, the yard needs a serious clean. That being said the bar/dinner area is quite lovely. Game drive vehicles are ancient. (One hour drive is R450, which seems really steep). I stayed at one of the ‘chalets’. As basic as it gets. Choose between sweltering or being devoured by mosquitoes (how about a net?). These are about 3km from the reception along atrocious ‘roads’ and (maybe just...
