"Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was very spacious."

"The check-in process wasn't great. We arrived mid-day with no one to open the doors for us only to find out that it was a self check-in and we had to contact them 72 hours before arrival. When trying to contact the property manager, we got no answer and a kind neighbour helped us out. After about 10 minutes we got a hold of someone and got in - the rest of the stay was great! The rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast was great as well!"

"I did not enjoy this stay. Valet service was not great, neither was front reception. The stairwell, a huge feature in the middle of the hotel, is made of metal, making the entire property extremely hot. The room was a awkward configuration also."

"Great renovated hotel in a small sleepy town of Avola with an easy access to free beaches, free street parking. Nice helpful hostess and her staff. "We had a great time at this B&B in Siracusa! The host, Gaetano, was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and made sure we didn’t miss any of the main attractions in Siracusa, including Ortigia Island, which was just a 10-minute walk away. "The Magnolia is an old fashioned B and B. The breakfast is very good. The bed was very comfortable. The people are very nice and helpful but minimum English spoken which makes things hard at times. Have your Google Translate ready. Downsides: there was no fridge, kettle, cups etc. to brew hot drinks in the room. Our toilet seat was loose and fell off completely on day 2. Beautiful Hotel with a great view of the ocean

"The Grand Hotel des Estrangers is a beautiful hotel perfectly located in the Ortigia section of Syracuse. The building is beautiful and the renovations are very stylish. The breakfast was excellent and the rooftop bar and restaurant are quite nice. The staff is high professional and friendly. We had massages at their Spa which were top notch. The gym is adequate. Good luck if you need to change large euro bills for smaller denominations, we asked once or twice every day and were often unable to get it from the front desk. I know it’s not a bank but it’s a reasonable request. "
