"Charming hotel which has it's quirks but that's all part of the experience with fantastic staff who made us feel very welcome and satisfied. The view was fabulous and the food was terrific and the staff were brilliant. The road up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted (Strada da Valmara) so take their advice on how to reach the property if you are not very confident with mountain roads. "

"An old, stately hotel, with works of art in the corridors, lobby and gardens. Wonderful housekeeping and laundry service. Very plentiful buffet breakfast included, where one can sit at a table overlooking Lake Maggiore. The dinner at this restaurant was excellent. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the town of Stresa, where there are shops, restaurants, and a boat to transport you to the islands. The gym/spa/pool complex is amazing. The crowning glory of the hotel are the expansive lake views from many rooms. What a glorious thing to wake up to sunrise over the lake!"

"Excellent stay. Gorgeous property, service is world class. Made our entire stay - highly recommend. I looked at several other luxury hotels in Lugano and so glad I chose this one. The view is truly unbelievable. We stayed in the panoramic room and it was amazing, we didn’t even want to leave the room. The fine dining restaurant was tremendous, best meal we had during our stay. 5 stars "
