"Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. A couple notes, not much English spoken here, or in town at all. People were extremely gracious and we didnt have any issues, but just be aware. Also there are limited hours for the reception and if you think you will even be close to showing up after 7pm local time, reach out and coordinate how to get room access. We did not do this (our fault) and struggled to get ahold of the reception after hours with our US phones. Overall I would def stay here again if I was coming to the area."

"Sehr gute Lage zum Wandern (Wartburg/ Luther Weg/ Drachenschlucht/ Eisenach), kostenlose Parkplätze. Frühstück sehr umfangreich, auch Rührei und Lachs inklusive. Zimmer mit Blick auf Wartburg war komfortabel."

"Amazing time , we loved the Porsche decoration , and to top it , they had a classic Porsche meeting the day of our stay! We will def stay again , when we are back in Germany! Super centric as well, so you can stop by on a long drive ! "

"Hair all over the blankets. When we asked them for more pillows they said “f*** you bye”. All we did is politely ask for pillows yet they cursed at us and shut the phone in our face. "

"Quiet area on the site of Gotha town. This hotel is after renovation, former military building. Quality is on high level. "

"Big hotel with free parking. Free breakfast in the restaurant was a definite plus with many options. Indoor swimming pool was nice also"

"Very clean and safe hotel. Spacious room. Excellent shower. Booked as a solo traveller and for some reason received a (small/narrow) single person duvet on a double bed. Made sleeping very uncomfortable and cold. Hotel a la carte restaurant was closed, only a buffet available.... Was very poor quality food and also not cheap. "

"Great location downtown and nice pub in basement area. Nice easy walk to Christmas markets. Train station close as well. "
