Clean and comfortable
"This is a good basic hotel that is clean and the service is good. We have stayed here before as it is one of the only hotels in the area. We mostly saw one person working and she was friendly and would check if we needed anything. The only bad thing was last year they had a good Continental breakfast ..."

"Front desk associate Quinn was very pleasant and professional. Hotel is doing renovations so some areas dusty. Room was very clean and updated, but a/c did not remove moisture so room was cold and very damp, 84% humidity but otherwise a nice stay."

"My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend. Everything was clean and very nice. We didn’t catch many fish but the calmness and quiet is exactly what we needed. The host was quick to respond to our questions and would love to come back!"

Oelwein really has nothing to do. There were no stores other than Dollar General and Dollar tree and KMart and Shopko have gone out of business. There is an Italian restaurant that we have been to in the past, it was below par this visit (Leo's)
