One thing I would say is once you sit something down for the breakfast buffet, and another group of two comes in, asking me to move from my space when I’m already picking food requires me to be nice."

"This is a spotlessly clean unit and is great as a starting point for the shimanami kaido. It's a very short walk to the pier and the train station. Note that you need to communicate with the property manager via the Expedia app and upload your passport etc the day you check in so make sure you have mobile data and your passport copies are under ~4MB. The property manager is ridiculously quick to respond to messages if you have questions. "

"We were very impressed with the Imabari Kokusai Hotel. It is truly an elegant property with a wonderful lobby and choice on-site restaurant choices. I especially enjoyed the huge ship models in the lobby, paying homage to Imabari's ship building industry. We would not hesitate to stay again and will make time during our next visit to have a drink at the bar and soak in the view of the Seto Inland Sea at dusk. The onsen was very relaxing and the pleasant buffet breakfast was a treat!"

"There is a beautiful Japanese garden at the back of the hotel, that you can spend hours in. It is very helpful if you have had a long flight from overseas and want a day to help with jet lag. If you are a senior, with ID proving your age, it is free to enter. The buffet breakfast is fine. There are reasonable priced meals at the bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful."
