"Loved that it had it’s own beach with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, no need to get up early to reserve. Staff was friendly, room was large and clean and hotel was short walk to center of town with great shops and restaurants. I totally recommend it. Very family friendly as well."

"The property is very old and in need of maintenance. The hallways and room need a fresh coat of paint and some of the fixtures are broken. The stairs are very steep and there is no elevator so the elderly or disabled should stay elsewhere. That said, the property manager Bernadette is very nice and helpful. The linens and towels were clean. No sand found in the room. Decor is beachy modern and simple. There is a wardrobe closet, and ample space in the room. I appreciated the mini fridge and freezer for overnight storage of lunch. There was some hair from former guests found on the bathroom floor and shower but the fixtures were clean overall. The location is wonderful and the ocean views lovely from the porch and balconies. The breakfast was plentiful and appreciated as were the freshly baked cookies and complimentary water. The shops are nearby and proximity to the ocean is ideal. Plenty of street parking. There are a few complimentary bicycles for use but the grips are sticky and need to be cleaned. Note that I visited this property after the Labor Day weekend so it was the end of the season. I believe the minor issues could easily be repaired in the off season."

"Pool area needs to be cleaned more often. Surface around pool (patio) needs to be resurfased/painted/refreshed, as well as the floor of the pool itself. Ice Maker didn't work and was VERY dirty. Need a deep clean. Waitress at restaurant was MISERABLE. I understand she was the only server on Labor Day and was slammed but she was not friendly and ignored us - we eventually got up from table and ordered from the bar. The bar tender was also VERY busy BUT SUPER friendly, helpful and excellent! The food was good. The property was nice = love being on the river. My room was nice, big, clean and modern. It was in the main buiding facing the ocean. The rooms in the older buildings, facing the pool and river need fixing. My sister had a Pool View Room and the toilet was coming out of the floor and mold on ceiling. Pool view room extremely small."

"We stayed at the Ocean Plaza Labor Day weekend when we were catching a show at the Stone Pony and it was fantastic! 15 min walk to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants! Staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room were clean and breakfast each morning was delicious! We would definitely recommend and book again!"
