The Windjammer Condominiums, located oceanfront on 46th street, offer that wonderful retro Ocean City feel, providing the perfect setting for a memorable visit to Ocean City, Maryland. This 3rd-floor walk-up two-bedroom, one bath unit can sleep six with a queen in the 1st bedroom, two twins in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. A one-of-a-kind family vacation destination, each unit is individually owned and decorated, offering the guest a unique feel and comfortable stay with direct beach access and ocean views. The fireplace is not for guest use. Enjoy the exclusive private sand patio for grilling, picnics, and play, free WiFi, and flat screen TVs. Our condos are stocked and ready for you with towels, linens, cookware, and utensils. Property rents for any 2 nights all year! Don't pass up on the chance to stay at your home away from home at the beach! This unit permits up to two dogs, a 50lb limit for one pet or a 70 lb combined limit for two pets. There is an additional $35.00 per day pet fee. Although pets are allowed all season, absolutely no pets are permitted on the private sand patio courtyard. There is a designated pet area supplied with waste bags just a minute's walk away. An on-site laundry room is available for guests at no additional cost from 9 am to 5 pm.

The property owner does not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 21.

Clean & convenient. Room is a bit dated, but it's got everything you need. Heads up for dog owners: it may be pet-friendly, but not the most convenient place to bring a dog.

Great location

The location was perfect. The parking was an absolute nightmare. The spots were very limited and incredibly tight. There definitely were not enough spots for all the units. The room itself was ok, could have been cleaner. The bath towels were supplied but only one towel per person for the entire stay. The stay was fine but we definitely will find somewhere else next time.

Desperately Seeking Renovations

I wish I could include photos that we personally took of the property. This whole property needs gutted and redone. Our first issue is one of the bedroom door knobs was loose so my husband had to tighten it. There is no striker plate on this door so the door would not stay shut. The bathroom door stuck horribly so my younger daughter struggled to get the door open. My husband also had to remove a huge glob of hair from the shower the first day we were there since the tub was not draining at all. How the cleaning people were actually able to properly clean this unit and not notice the tub wouldn’t drain is beyond me. There’s mold all over the bathroom shower including on the ridiculously placed drop ceiling…..in a bathroom, just inches from your head. There is mildew growing on the closet door trim. Handles are missing from the closet doors and doors are difficult to slide open. The flooring in the bathroom is warped from presumable water damage. The refrigerator is also damaged with us being afraid to use the bottom shelf due to its potential collapse. The outside of the fridge is also covered in rust. There are multiple remotes with no guides to indicate which ones went to what devices. The remotes were also disgustingly sticky and there were no cleaning supplies in the unit. It did have its own WiFi so that was a plus for the times the weather was not cooperative. I am not sure how Central Reservations runs this building as the unit next door to ours was beautiful. We easily had what should have been the nicest unit in the complex being on the third floor, corner unit and closest to the ocean with gorgeous views but this was not to be the case. It served the purpose for what we needed but we will not return to this unit.

Nice Place But Needs Some Thorough Cleaning and Upkeep

The place is well situated and roomy and the views of the ocean lovely. Also, my bed (master bdrm) was great to sleep on and we had plenty of clean linens. However, the property needs a lot of sprucing up and smells a bit musty if you don't run the A/C. Also, when we arrived there were two dirty rags hanging over the shower stall. The property manager said that was unusual and simply removed the dirty rags. But throughout, especially in the kitchen and bathroom, surfaces needed some deeper cleaning. For example, there were water splash stains on the picture over the sink that a simple swipe with some glass cleaner could have taken care of, and the refrigerator handle and surfaces looked dirty. And the tiles in the bathroom corners were darkened and the floor edges grimy. Finally, the mouse traps under the kitchen sink were not a good sign. So, although the property itself was nice, we would not stay there again as we felt that the property wasn't thoroughly cleaned.

Beautiful view

The view and beach access is amazing. Beautiful breezes through the windows. Walk to anything you may need. Very clean and great that it came with bed linens and bath towels. It is an older place so doors don’t always close well and somethings are dated. If you plan to use the pull out bed, bring an air mattress instead since the mattress is really bad. Mattresses in bedrooms were great though. Would stay here again

Great view Horrible Condo

The location and view were excellent. The condo was not. The bathroom door did not lock or stay shut. The back bedroom door also did not stay shut. The condo was very out dated and a little dirty. I touched the lamp and it had a layer of dirt on it. The twin beds were very old and lumpy. This was my first time using VRBO I will not be using them again :-(

Birthday stay

6 of us close friends stayed here for a birthday celebration and we really enjoyed ourselves. Location is key! Beautiful view of ocean and walking distance to most bars and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Nice location

We enjoyed our stay here, it's at a great location and we got ocean front condo so the view from the room was great. However I am not rating this quite high because, the furnitures on living room were very very dirty. We sat on them only after putting sheets over them.

Excellent long weekend

What a wonderful experience! Location, location, location. Perfect! It was a great time and the condo was great. Could use a few little things fixed for next year. But so could my house. Lol.

Great experience!

We usually stay in the hotel but this time because of our dog we decided to try a rental instead. The location was great . Nice condo. The only challenge was not having an elevator. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable but the view and location was wonderful.

Great place totally worth it!

Great location really close to the beach and also quiet not loud like being close to the boardwalk. It needs a little of updating but good enough for a long weekend!

Good space, great location, needs a little updating, but not a deal breaker. The bedroom sizes were great. I have thick hair & getting sand out of my hair after a day at the beach is usually near-impossible at other places I have stayed because of minimal shower pressure, but the shower pressure here was absolutely amazing to the point that if everything else sucked I would still come back for the shower pressure (everything else didnt suck tho). Thought it was a little weird that there weren't any cutting boards tho?

Nice location, needs updating

The property was in a great location, check in was easy, and the view from our room was great. The unit needs A LOT of updating. The kitchen floor was so slanted the water in the sink doesn’t go down the drain it just gathers at the front. The stove was hard to use also because of the slant. The a/c units worked great and the televisions and WiFi worked well. Overall could be a great unit if some small updating was done.

The views are spectacular. The condition is rundown retro.

When it comes to the views, they are spectacular from every room. Even though, the bathroom has no windows, if you leave the door open you can see out the bedroom window. It generally appears in order. However, there is real evidence of wear to the point of breakage or disrepair. Two of the chairs at the dining table felt dangerous when I tried to sit in them, held together with drywall screws. The canes on the big single chair in the living room are cracked. The canes on the tables and chair could use a good cleaning with steel wool and furniture oil. Baseboards have not been caulked in a while and are trapping dirt. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, glasses and cookware and in working order. The water pressure in the bathroom was terrific. I liked the kitchy retro and beach decor. We didn't really use the TVs, the air conditioners or the fireplace. We had no rainy days or cold weather. The free laundry room opens at 9am and closes at 5pm, which was challenging for us on a short vacation. As older adults we found walking up and down two full flights of stairs with a dog to walk too challenging to consider returning. Our dog refused to step foot on the somewhat grassy area, one building over, to do his business. Count on taking your dog for real walks in the neighborhood. Best for a young family with children who are old enough to handle some luggage and do the stairs on their own. Close to some restaurants we enjoyed, Barn 34, Satelite Coffee and Higgins Crab House (get the jumbo crabs to pick or the crab imperial). 45th street is still close to where the action is happening. So if you don't like fireworks in the middle of the night with rowdy revelers and need a peaceful setting, rent a place in the higher street numbers. This is old school, no pool, no exercise room. There is a sand "patio" with corn hole, a wood swing, grills, picnic tables, loungers and an outdoor hose for washing off the sand. The only thing we used was the hose. There are unassigned parking spaces for the building for this unit to use. For the price we paid per night, the unit should have been in better condition without carpeting which held previous pet odors.

Great building with beautiful views, unit itself needs updating

The building and views were really great, I definitely recommend the 3rd floor if you don’t mind stairs. This specific unit has so much potential but desperately needs to be updated, ceiling tiles and carpet/flooring for example need to be replaced. The cleaning service did do a great job and I felt everything was thoroughly cleaned.
