"We had a nice stay at Château Gütsch. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the spectacular view from the terrace, which overlooks Lucerne, the lake and the surrounding mountains. It’s the main reason to stay here and it’s truly breathtaking, especially in the evening. Our room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was much appreciated during the hot weather. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection. "mine was a newer single room. Very nice. Clean. Fifth floor so most mostly quiet. reception staff was great. This year reception was open at the hotel, not at the Monopol a few doors down. They were able to find me a fan that worked, to help cool the room. But of course it was very hot."

"Very close to train station. Super clean and quiet. Could bring in own food to spacious breakfast area throughout the day. Provided a fan in room to help during heatwave. Tip: there is a 'locals' park on the lake on the far side of train station. It is a nice break from visitor hubbub along the river."
