We have several drug stores and an urgent care facility should you need one, as well as wineries, a brewery, distillery, an assortment of eateries, shops, art, and special town events, all only 10-15 minutes away.
Visit the rodeo in Coarsegold, or try your luck at the casino. (about 20 mins drive.) Or drive to Mariposa about 40 mins away and stroll down historic streets. Eat at Charles Street, and then stop at the Mariposa coffee roasters on your way back (about 1/2 way) to watch them roast fresh delicious coffee. Visit the gold rush museum or go zip lining. There are lots to do in and around Oakhurst, besides Yosemite and Bass Lake.
Pack a picnic, rent a boat, or jet skis and ride on the lake, or get up early to go fishing. Or just find a cozy spot on the shore to swim or kayak. Hike beautiful Lewis Creek, and gaze at the waterfalls. Or just sit out on the deck and watch the birds by day, and stars by night. The peace and beauty will make you never want to leave.
