The free outdoor concerts located at Middleton Park in the summer are all within 5 minutes walking distance. In fact, the grocery store, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful after a recent remodel and fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, too.

This is the home to stay in on Oak Island! It is beautitful, modern and spacious. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach. Latine is the perfect host, she knows the area well and is available to help in any way. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time staying at the Island House. It is the perfect location near the main street in Oak Island and near everything you need. The property is cute and clean. Latane was a great host. I would definitely stay again.

Great place and loved the king size bed in master. Hot tub was nice at nice. The front porch was great to seat and drink coffee in the morning. Close to everything down in Oak Island. Great color schemes inside. Owner was available for anything we needed.

We loved the house {and the pool table). It's walking distance to Publix, restaurants and the beach. The beach is about a 10 minute walk so bring your beach wagon. Parking at the beach is limited during peak times. We really enjoyed ourselves and the host is a very good person!

The house is great for my family stay. Very convenient location in walking distance to the beach, grocery store, ice cream shop and restaurant. The house is comfortable and we had fun with the pool table. The outdoor shower was great to wash off the beach sand. The only downfall was the hot tub was not warm enough. You might inquire about that if that's a must for your stay. Thank you for the great beach weekend!

The place is great! Everything is so much better than the pictures online. My wife said I did good when I picked this one. The host was very friendly and was really helpful with all questions. I give this place 10 stars. My friend's and family will definitely be returning.

The Island House is an excellent choice for 5-6 people. We were a party of 5 and we were very comfortable. The house is very clean and has available pretty much anything you'd need. As perfect as the House is the owner was exceptionally kind and accommodating. We are so thankful for her hospitality, and will definitely return to the Island House for our next beach trip!

Property is the right size for a small family. The pool table is nice but would probably be better if there is a TV in the room. The cabinets need to move a little to provide some more room when playing pool. The kitchen is stocked with a nice welcome of fresh fruits.

This house was awesome! And looked even better in person. The house was clean, comfortable, fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the pool table, beds were comfortable. The beach is only a short walk from the house! The area was great and was very close to stores and food. Our host Latane was amazing! Very communicative, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely come back and stay here again!! 🙂

We wanted a house for our 2 boys (8 and 14) that was close to the beach and this was perfect! We were 2 minutes driving (10 minute walk) to the beach. We got to the house and my husband walked to a BBQ restaurant to pick up dinner, and then we all walked down to get ice cream for dessert. The house was beautiful and clean, and Latane was so sweet! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The Island House was a perfect place for our weekend getaway to cheer on our friend during the OKI Marathon especially with the close proximity to Middleton Park. Latane was an exceptional host and was very responsive to our text/questions over the weekend. The house was spotless and well equipped (missed the Keurig - but the coffee pot did just fine!). The pool table was a hit of the weekend. Would definitely stay again, especially when the 3rd bedroom is available.

We had a great family vacation on Oak Island and Latane's Island House was in the perfect location. Just a few blocks from the beach, grocery store, great donut shop, restaurants and ice cream places. Our teenage boys loved the pool table and the large TV in the family room. Latane was always available if we needed her and had some nice chats w/ her during our stay. We would totally recommend this house for your Oak Island vacation. We went to several beaches during our stay and would totally recommend going to Bald Head Island for the day, make sure you rent a golf cart. Thank you Latane for such a great trip, your place made it for us! Hope to get back to see you!

We had the best week! The house is in a perfect location; close to the beach, restaurants and shopping but still quiet and relaxing. We had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is beautifully updated, beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was a treat for all of us. I can’t speak highly enough of Latane, the owner of the home. She lives in the cutest tiny home on the back of the property. We had all of the perks of having the owner close by without sacrificing any privacy. Latane went above and beyond to make the stay extra special for our young kids. It was a perfect week. We can’t wait to come back!

It was our first time staying at Oak Island. Even though it was a long weekend getaway, we all wished that we could have stayed longer. We did not get a chance to explore all that we wanted to. The house was terrific! Very clean and well equipped with all the daily essentials. And the complementary fresh fruit was a very nice touch. The house location was great. A very nice neighborhood and a short walk or ride to the beach. It had easy beach access and plenty of public parking. It was a great place for bike rides as well. I would highly recommend this house and we plan to return in the future, when we can stay longer.

The property is beautiful inside and out. Spacious full sized kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals. 3 nice size bedrooms with linens, towels & plenty of closet space. 2 full bathrooms also beautifully kept. The house was immaculate with large game room to hang out in off of the living room. Master bedroom had a nice walk in closet and extra twin size folded cot if needed. The living room and master bedroom had big screen TV’s with capabilities to access apps such as Netflix. The beach is close walking distance, along with a BBQ place at the end of the street and a coffee/ice cream/donut shop. Another bonus is the grocery store across the street. I can’t say enough good thing about this place, the location, and Latane! Great hostess who is beautiful inside and out!

Two sisters and a close friend spent nine days at Latane's beautiful beach house. It is one block from the Publix grocery store, BBQ restaurant and three blocks to the park and the beach. The house is cheerfully decorated with a beachy vibe and and has all the items you need (kitchen, linens, beach towels, etc.). There is a sunny recreation room with a pool table, which we enjoyed. The kitchen and living room are one large space so that everyone can hang out together. There is a hot tub and the front and back porches are covered with seating -- great for coffee in the morning and wine at night! Latane is so responsive if you should need anything and a delight to get to know. We had a fabulous time on Oak Island, poking around Southport and taking the ferry over to Bald Head Island. We definitely plan to return again soon. We highly recommend Latane's abode!
