New ceilings throughout, new trim paint throughout, new dishwasher, new microwave, new downstairs bedroom mini-split AC and new hardwood floors upstairs and in the master bedroom all in 2023/2024. Convenient to local shopping, dining and family activities including Oak Island Lighthouse.

Disappointed

We were very disappointed in the house for our stay at OKI. The house hadn’t been properly cleaned (trash and items left behind from prior tenant under beds and behind furniture). The downstairs bedroom does not have an air vent and was extremely hot in there the whole stay. There’s a vent just outside that room, but did little to nothing to help inside. There was mold around the upstairs vents where there had been condensation. I don’t normally have any allergy problems while in any beach area, but my sinuses were completely stopped up within a few minutes of entering the house, as were my husbands and one of our kids. Toilet paper holder in downstairs bathroom was broken and not able to be used, and several light bulbs out upon our arrival (those aren’t major issues but, when added to the other problems, just more aggravation).

Boardwalk @ Oak Island

The house was nice, directly on the beach. Could use more kitchen items, more bowls, pots, larger cooking utensils, more hot pads & kitchen towels. Also, the teens would have liked more tv's, especially in the 3rd floor bedrooms. Loved that there were games there! Everyone had a great time there!

Our stay at Boardwalk, North Carolina

The property was AMAZING !!! The property was representative of the photos. There was a book welcoming us and all the instructions of the house were very well written and in a concise friendly book. The only 'hitch" was that on our way to the property, we received a call from the Real Estate company stating that there was "heavy traffic" and therefore our facility would not be ready until almost 6 PM. The check in time was at 4 PM. We felt this was not right since we drove throughout the night to make an on time arrival and now were forced to pace around the place and beach until the cleaners, cleaned who arrived about 445. To add insult to injury, we received an email requesting that we check at the end of the week at 9 AM and that "no late checkouts would be granted ..." Aside from the Real Estate matters, it was a very nice vacation., and we would love to go again.
