"We stayed for 5 nights on half board for a walking holiday. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and, in particular, the swimming pool in the early evening. The reception staff were highly professional and the restaurant staff were friendly. The evening menu only changes once a week which meant some repetition in our actual selections of food."

"The host, Elena, was very responsive and helpful. Casa Josefa is comfortable and very tastefully decorated with outstanding views from both the balcony and the terrace. The center of the village is close as our some gorgeous hikes. We loved our stay in Capileira !"

Country House on Edge of Picturesque Village

Breathtaking.
"We wanted to experience the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarra in winter. We chose Cortijo Alguaztar because it looked amazing and its location promised mountains, it more than delivered on both.The cortijo is beautiful both inside and out, and has everything one could possibly need, with well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and comfortable beds. Our host, Nadia, was incredibly helpful and kind.And then there are the views: snow covered high peaks to the right, the Mediterranean to the left (one can see the lights of Africa at night) and breathtaking vistas in between.We had a fabulous week and would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Thank you Nadia!"

"When we arrived we were greeted by our host, shown our room which was large and had a king sized bed which was very comfortable, also with a sofa bed, patio doors onto a private balcony overlooking the mountains. There was no snow close by but we were assured it may snow anytime.

A special place
"The property was wonderful. The house was comfortable very spacious for the six of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed unlike the two other VRBO‘s we rented. the view from the house was spectacular. We ate dinners at the house, but were out for a midday meal, and found an incredible Indian restaurant and several others. There was a beautiful vegetable garden just below us and over the three days we were there. We watched the gardener who on one of the days brought us two beautiful heads of lettuce How wonderful was that? The one thing I would caution someone about is that the house is located at the bottom of the town and walking up would be very tough for someone who was unable or not up to walking a steep hill, needless to say that did not deter us from the beauty of the house and its location"
