"We enjoyed staying at the Mar Inn. Christine at the front desk showed us the map of the city and guided us to a couple of very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

"Mountain Faro is a simple, clean, and well-located property, with a good breakfast included. Yes it is up a hill, but you are in Monte Verde and everything is up or down a hill. The staff, led by Lady, are lovely, welcoming, and so helpful - including recommending restaurants, helping to arrange tours, and arranging transport as needed (for tours, or if you just don't want to walk the hills). I highly recommend it."

"This is a great place for a night stay, we had a Saturday with bad luck of a fiesta until 2 a.m. in a large rec center close by. But the rooms are clean, new, everything you need, very well stocked, with a pool, nice balcony, swings, and breakfast is to die for. "Our stay at Cielo ranch exceeded our expectations. The hosts are lovely people who helped us book activities in surrounding areas, made us excellent food, and showed us their farm. We didn’t want to leave. The kids had fun in the pool and the entire residence is wonderfully designed and beautiful. Waking up to sounds of birds and frogs was a highlight as well as seeing a variety of birds on the property. Thanks very much!"
