"The Fox Den was perfect for our stay in Farmville! The property was just as described in the write up and photos. Nicole and Brian were very responsive to answering questions and helping with any issues. This was perfect for our stay and we will certainly check availability here first the next time we visit. We hope to visit again during the fall season to take advantage of the fire pit and enjoy what I believe is some beautiful fall foliage from the front porch rockers!"

"My girlfriend and I booked a weekend stay at the property and unfortunately, due to inclement weather, we were unable to go for our trip but Carlin was very helpful and communicative about helping us be able to come down another weekend so we could still do our trip. "My family and I had a wonderful stay at Joyful Escape. The home looked just as it did online. The property was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. Everyone that stayed and those that came for our gathering was amazed, some asking how did I find this place. WE LOVE IT!"

"The host was very accommodating and answered all of our pre-trip questions so we knew just exactly what we needed, or more importantly didn’t need, to bring with us. Communication didn’t end there. After our arrival, every time we had a question we had a response within about five minutes. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the grill was brand new! We stayed here over 2026 graduation weekend for Longwood University. The accommodations were perfect for the 11 of us! Only about 15 or 20 minutes from the campus and we had all the comforts of home. We had a little post graduation get together at the swimming pool and enjoyed the provided s’more‘s kit around the fire pit. The pool house outdoor Wi-Fi speakers were a great plus. The game room in the basement was a huge hit with the middle and high schoolers that came with us. The nice, quiet surroundings were so relaxing! We even got to know one of the owners who stopped by to see how things were going. My husband and son enjoyed chatting with him. My grown son said he could live there forever. His idea of the perfect home! We don’t have any more graduations, coming anytime soon, but will come up with another reason to visit again!"
