"We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed it, provided you understand what the Home Hotel concept is about. The idea is that a stay should feel more like being at home than at a traditional hotel. In practice that means rooms are not serviced daily, but it also means a simple dinner is included in the package alongside the usual hotel breakfast, which is good value and convenient after a day out. Our room was one of the larger categories, yet still felt fairly small for a deluxe room, and the view was over a car park. That said, it was comfortable and reasonably well appointed. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout. The gym was the main disappointment: a broken cross trainer that was out of use, a couple of rowing machines, and only a limited selection of weights. The location is excellent, right on the harbour and within easy walking distance of everything worth seeing. On balance we would recommend this hotel, but go in expecting a different ethos to a conventional luxury hotel, and rooms that are smaller than you might anticipate."

"Nice hotel overall. We booked it because of the central location and it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was excellent, lots of options and very fresh. The hotel does not have parking and there is no street parking for visitors in central Bergen, but there are couple of fairly expensive parking lots around. Also, there are very limited charging stations in central Bergen (we had to drive 15 min to get our car charged) and the staff wasn’t very helpful overall with the questions."

"We were there the day the hotel opened. Nice rooms. Great location. No parking at all. Had to park in a garage a full kilometer away. There was no breakfast available and no coffee machines (which seems like a crime for Norway) because they hadn’t arrived yet. Some sawdust in the room from construction. Stickers hadn’t been removed on bathroom fixtures. Overall lovely hotel with the kind of issues you’d expect from anywhere on their first two days in business. Would happily stay again, especially if we didn’t have a car."
