We stayed for a quick weekend trip. 3rd and Surf was a cute little house, well-maintained, and most importantly, clean! We had all the tools we needed in the kitchen to cook a few meals and plenty of room to be comfortable. We would happily stay here again next time we're in town!

I liked that the hotel was close to the freeway but off the beaten path so you weren't right downtown & it was quiet.

We will NOT be back. For the amount of money we spent on a room, and to have staff bark at you is totally unacceptavle.

Northwood is a great little town about 7 miles east of the hotel. The hotel is not in Northwood. It is adjacent to the Diamond Jo casino on I-35. If you have time, drive into town! there are retaurants, a micro brewery, parks and museums!
