Relaxing on the veranda was so nice, peaceful and private. Read a book and relax so easily managed. Plenty of birds were all around every afternoon, thy were friendly and loved to eat the bird feed when it was sprinkled around the ground. There were water bowls in the front and back yards for the birds to drink from and some birds...

"Private and secluded cabin complete with all the comforts. Joolie and Michael’s efforts to add thoughtful inclusions are everywhere in Willow Cabin. Lots to read, eclectic artworks and quirky pieces to amuse. Our peaceful stay was only interrupted by the birds and pattern of rain. We had a lovely stay, just 2 nights but it was enough to reset. Highly recommend as a couples escape."

First, it is a perfect jumping off spot for travellers with a car to easily day trip to Cairns, Port Douglas and beyond, or the Tablelands, but is nestled in a quiet community with small shops, cafés, etc. just outside of Cairns. "Great staff, very welcoming and professional"

"We arrived in the morning and 'checked in' but given the earliness of our arrival the room was obviously not ready which were more than aware of. Staff however booked us in, gave us a card to access all the Hotel's facilities and called us as soon as the room was ready. Staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Check in was fast and the reception area was well maintained and spacious. We were upgraded to an ocean view and our room was excellent! Spacious, clean, modern. "
