Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain
8/10 Good
"Being the only major hotel in the area, I can understand why this hotel was busy. Also factoring in the time of year with all the tourists, I understand why the hotel would be loud. But that being said, be prepared for thin walls. It's been a long time since I could hear my neighbors tv in a hotel. And some people are just rude with talking/arguing in the halls so early but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Room was clean and it was a nice property"
Essex House and Tavern
10/10 Excellent
"Because you’re staying in a room above a working tavern the rooms are considerably smaller than normal hotels. But it was clean. We had everything we needed even though it was a tiny bit cramped. Staff was excellent. The bar and restaurant downstairs had wonderful food and very good service."
The Wildflower Inn

"Beautiful property with spectacular views."
Lovely, secluded cabin in Vermont's "Land of Lakes and Ponds"
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin is paradise. Secluded in the woods with a gorgeous stream running through it. The interior is immaculate and so tastefully decorated. All amenities provided. Really enjoyed our stay."
Fairbanks Inn
10/10 Excellent
"It’s a budget motel, but you get a nice place for the price. It’s spacious. Each room has a balcony overlooking green space with trees. There is a pool (it was closed for the season while I was there). It is safe and very clean. When I had any problems, the staff was quick to assist. Even though it’s dated, it’s a great and inexpensive place to stay."
Beautifully renovated antique farmhouse on pristine lake.
10/10 Excellent
"Our October stay was simply perfect. Waking up to enjoy our morning coffee while watching the fog roll in over the pond from the comfort of a cozy couch was a highlight of our trip. Our family of 5 loved the space, decor, and historical feel of the house. I especially loved the witch window! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the house each night - and had all the supplies necessary at our fingertips. While it is a bit of a drive from the touristy spots in Waterbury-Stowe, it was not an inconvenience given the beautiful scenery along the route. I bet it is also beautiful in winter/Christmas time. Highly recommended."

Entire Lake House on Lake Memphremagog, dead end RD, private. 30 min to Jay Peak
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fabulous fall weekend in the Northeast Kingdom and this secluded lake house was the perfect base. The kitchen was fully stocked (appreciate both the Keurig and big coffee maker options!) and there was plenty of room to enjoy meals together. We took advantage of the screened in porch for sunrise/sunsets with our drinks. Not only did we see two bald eagles fly right up to the seating area overlooking the lake but we were greeted by the sound of loons in the mornings. At night the sky was so clear we were able to identify many constellations and even saw the Milky Way (all while around the campfire). Location was close to a few restaurants and grocery stores too. Highly recommend taking the 30 minute drive down to Lake Willoughby for a gorgeous hike and a 15 minute drive to Rooty's Orchard for delicious and fresh pressed apple cider and warm apple cider donuts. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for sharing this lovely home and making it such a cozy vacation!"
