"The room which we stayed in was dark and dingy and we had to use a flashlight in the evening because of insufficient lightening in the room. After complaining they offered another room without addressing the issue. The room has worn and the fittings were out of date. The only redeeming feature was the breakfast which was good."

"Perfect location for my trip to University of Pretoria. Close to Hatfield Gautrain station, around the corner from campus. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. The Palace of the Lost City is a feast for the eye

"My wife and I would like to praise several members of staff: Itumeleng from Room Service - what a nice and efficient man! Then Maddeleine, Betty, Josephine and Beauty from the Main Restaurant, where we had our 3 breakfasts and 1 dinner The Palace is an incredibly beautiful place - we just admired the decorations (African annimals as statues at the front as well as inside, floor mosaics, the structure of the Palace you see on arrival and on the passage from the lobby to bedrooms"
