"We had such a lovely 2 night stay here! The lodge was in pristine condition, with all necessities like tea, coffee, milk. The hot tub was ready for us to get in. There were plenty of useful extras like iron, travel cot, hairdryers, plenty of toilet rolls. There was an en-suite with shower and a family bathroom too. "The home was just as we hoped. Very clean, modern decorating, new kitchen and bathrooms, heating was warm and working well. We were allowed to bring our dogs, who had a secure back garden to play in. Nothing bad to say, the owners Steve and Carole, were wonderful and responsive. Thank you, we will be coming back!"

"This accomodation has been the best we’ve experienced so far on our trip. The bed was large and comfortable , the living area and kitchen were just right and the bathroom with bath was wonderful . It was lovely and quiet in spite of being close to shops. It was easy walking distance to bus station and pubs. Overall a terrific place to base ourselves whilst exploring Yorkshire. And we loved the heated floors☺️"

"The property was easy to find, clean, comfortable & quiet. The location was excellent, less than 5 mins from Saturday Market. The accommodation is on 3 floors so not ideal for anyone with significant mobility problems. The garage is small, as stated, but we squeezed a Renault Clio in. We'd definitely stay here again."

"This is an elegant and comfortable country house in a tiny village just outside York. It has two large, elegant sitting rooms and a panelled dining room, perfect for formal dinners. We loved the house, its rambling corridors, comfortable bedrooms and elegant and fascinating objects and furniture. Perfect for a country house weekend."
