"Asked for a handicap downstairs room, front desk said non were available. There are no elevators so taking the stairs is very difficult. Room was ok, smell of mildew and screen was broken if window was opened. The ac/heater vents clearly broken. Breakfast minimal. Staff not very friendly. Better hotels for the price I paid here."

"room was not clean.. had hair on the counter by the coffee pot. butt crack print on the toliet seat. floor had spots of dirt you can see. i called down to the desk and the guy was very helpful brought up another room key. talked to the manager lisa in the morning and she made it right. the cleaning crew really did not shine in my experience this time."

"We loved our stay at the River Cottage. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch swing with a lovely view of the patio. The place is off the main road but only a few miles from restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay there again if in the area."

The cleanliness is impeccable and there's everything you'd ever need to have a relaxing, wonderful time. The hosts were very accommodating when we needed to add a day to our trip and the stay was seamless. If you're looking for a great property with outstanding views and relaxing surroundings, this is it."
