"While we had a good night at this property, and the kitchen and common area were great, the place was not particularly clean, there was only one bathroom for 12 beds and the room and bathroom door locks were not functional. We did not know which room was ours and had to figure that out by finding someone who could tell us. It seemed that not all of the work was finished to get this property ready to use. That said, it was peaceful, quiet and calm. "

"We went on a spur of the moment cycling trip to Salt Spring Island. The hills were tough but at the end of that error in judgment was the gem that is Hummingbird B&B. "A perfect place to stay, it has everything! Private, quiet, roomy and clean. We spent our mornings sipping coffee and enjoying the views and wildlife from the living room, we even got to watch a bald eagle fly by. The full kitchen was perfect for fixing breakfast, heating up leftovers and pouring glasses of local cider and wine. The bathtub is long and deep enough for us tall folk to enjoy a bath and the washer/drier were fantastic to have after hiking around the countryside. Bedroom is spacious...

"We all had a very nice time on the property. We enjoyed the trails, the kayaks, nature, and even visiting with the horses. The space of the house was also very convenient for our group and we especially enjoyed the large kitchen for when we wanted to cook dinner. Heidi was a great host and was in easy contact if we needed anything. Also the tip to go to the Duncan farmer's market was definitely enjoyed by all. Overall A+ experience and would definitely visit again!"

"We enjoyed our night in this unusual B&B. Backpacking season hasn't really started yet, so we had the place to ourselves. There are 2 rooms with 4 bunks each, and 1 room with 6 bunks. You need to book each bed seperately. There is a shared bathroom. It would be excellent for a bunch of frends to gather, or for individuals looking to meet fellow backpackers. The host was very helpful, responding to our questions right away."

"Hot plate did not work so had to buy one to cook had to buy my own pan and knifes for cutting fruits the yard could be kept and more enjoyable to look at also there are patches and repairs throughout unit. Inside is ok but poorly stocked for the price."

"This a very quiet and relaxing little property, a bit far from restaurants or groceries or anything. The room has a nice comfortable bed and a small kitchen with everything you need. There isn’t a lot to do there other than relax or hang out in the pool and hot tub. I didn’t see that there was kayaking or any other water activities available there."

"Joy and Chris were amazing hosts to us and our dogs! Joy was so accommodating with everything from wifi needs to offering help with our dogs! The property landscaping makes it such a nice place to hang out and backs onto their own little trail which was amazing when travelling with dogs! We were close to amenities but didn’t feel like we were close to town at all. Inside so very clean- and the BED! Hotel bed feel and blackout blinds were such a treat for deep rest.
