"This resort is stunning. Get transported back in time (but like in a good way) days were simpler, slower and kindness was easier to find. Friendliness trickles down from management, to staff, to guests. However anyone wants to take this, but being a mixed race couple we have mixed reviews for northern Wisconsin businesses. This resort took our wariness and through it out the door and welcomed us completely. We felt at home. Rooms were more rustic (not like super rustic, the toilets inside big babies, beds comfy and the view serene. We will be back. If you’ve never gone before? Just do it. You won’t regret it. "

"I liked this quaint hotel. I would stay again for sure. It’s clean and every one of the staff are friendly. The attached restaurant, El Jefe, is excellent! The menu is Mexican, but with a unique take. I highly suggest you have a meal there while in Shawano. "
