"The rooms are large and clean. The beds were comfortable. The AC was very noisy in our room. They try hard with breakfast. They have real scrambled eggs and homemade biscuits. However, they seems to still be figuring stuff out. Some days there are bottles of water, some days there are none at the breakfast. I would welcome a little more fruit and maybe some not-sugary cereal at breakfast. How about an electric hot water kettle so we don't have to drink coffee-tasting tea out of the Keurig? I wish they would try to be more ecological (and it would also be more pleasant). How about real ceramic cups, plates, and flatware in the breakfast area? They did have filtered water in the breakfast area, but it tasted "off." Maybe time to change the filter? We enjoyed the sauna in our room. Bennington is a fun little area with hiking trails, lakes to swim in, and some nice restaurants. The folks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful!"

"Stayed as a bridesmaid and wedding guest in the hotel recently. The rooms were dated and we found mold on the shower ceiling tiles. The main building is kept in better condition but rooms could definitely use some TLC. Staff was super friendly though!"

"We got an upgrade upon check in, and the room was fantastic, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but lacked diversity. The location is central to everything you want to do in Manchester. Overall, a good stay."

"I work hard and needed the perfect relaxing place. We booked a night while we were passing through town and it was exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a Vermont establishment. The beer was great, the meatballs were literally amazing. At first I felt the price of the pizza was a bit high but after eating it I had zero regrets, worth it. Our room was above the bar and provided ear buds. We wouldn’t need them on this night because we may have been the only guests. The room was minimal with no air conditioning, television or other modern amenities to ruin the sounds of the river outside our window. The peeping frogs were a nice touch also. We give this place a 10 out of 10. Get the pizza."

"The staff was amazing, they helped me through everything, was very thorough and so friendly! I was visiting during a family event and they were angels in disguise! Alexis and Kayla were over the top with making sure I had what I needed, going out of their way to accommodate my needs. Michael was so endearing to my children, ensuring they had fun and and that we were well taken care of. I didn't get the morning ladies name, but she was also top notch with breakfast and recommendations. If you want to feel loved this is the place to be! The tennis courts, pool, hot tub, and fire table were highlights to our stay. Someone peeped a revamp and remodel in the near future, I hope that's true, but even if not... I would definitely return! Thank you palmer house for being a light in the dark!"
