"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute cottage! It's small, but perfect for our little family getaway. The lake was calm and clean and the property was fully stocked with paddles and life vests for enjoying the kayaks and row boat. We were able to fit myself, my husband, 5 year child, and our dog and still had room in the row boat!Perfect spoit to explore teh very cute downtown Elk Rapids, close to Traverse City, and not too far from Sleeping Bear Dunes. Definitely planning on coming back next year!We also had an issue with the laundry being locked on arrival when it wasn't supposed to have been locked. The management company handled it very quickly and got the door unlocked so we could enjoy the full facilities, use the laundry as needed, and get access to the life vests and paddles for the boats."

"Beautiful view of Lake MI from most rooms. Access to beach (with stairs) is just beyond patio. Chairs provided half way down. Beach is best for rock hunting & skipping stones, rather than sand castles & umbrellas. (You’ll find easy access to sand at the county sculpture park that’s 3 minutes away) Water was shallow for quite a distance; sandbar was great for frisbees. Well equipped kitchen with pantry to store our stuff. We appreciated ample hand soap, dish washing supplies, TP, & laundry detergent. Besides living room & bedrooms there are two smaller rooms to which individuals could retreat for yoga or reading. Worked well for our multigenerational group."

"We rented this house and the house next to it and we were able to use the same property manager which was great. We did have some issues with the house - the fridge was off and completely warm when we arrived (the switch had been tripped so we just had to flip it). It just seemed like it could use a good once-over for maintenance issues (we did mention some when we left like no vent cover in one of the bathrooms, a dangling smoke alarm in a bedroom, etc and the property manager sounded like she would take care of them quickly). They didn’t impact the stay so we didn’t mention them ahead of time. And the kitchen could use a check for supplies (we could only find a teaspoon and half a teaspoon measuring spoons). The beach for this house is smaller than we expected but since we rented both houses we could enjoy the other beachfront. Also - we read about the well water in the notes right before traveling so we were glad we could grab gallons of water. It was a very strong sulfur smell but we know that’s just how well water is (just be prepared for it!)There were many things we loved! We enjoyed the back balcony and the big open kitchen and family room. The games were great to have for rainy days and the basement was a nice gathering spot for tv watching. The marina didn’t bother us and we loved docking our boat there and using the kayaks to explore the lake. It was gorgeous!! Amy was helpful and we had a good stay. Great quiet spot on the lake. Not perfect but still nice!"
