"Amazing place, a piece of heaven. There is nothing here not to like. Charming staff who will give you the opportunity to think about nothing else but to immerse yourself in carefree everyday life. The rooms, services, food and of course the diving center deserve 5 stars. We were also pleasantly surprised by the not bad (for the Maldives) free internet on the island. A place we will definitely visit again."

"Absolutely outstanding week in a water bungalow. Excellent staff and service, facilities, food and could not have had a more brilliant time. It is a magical island and surrounded by unbelievably beautiful incredible sea life. Could not recommend more highly. Susil and Aalif in the outdoor dining, Schoag our room attendant, Shareef at the pool restaurant and Dinnusha the pool lady .... were all especially 5*****!"

"Everything is absolutely perfect: the hospitality, the service the food, the rooms, the beach, all. only thing stopping me tl give this a perfect 10 is the fact the island ( i assume) wants to be orientated towards family friendly, but it went overboard. It was full of toddlers, a mean i have never seen so many toddlers in one place in any hotel in my life. As the island is very small, you can't have any place to hide from them. It would have been better if they would at least split the island...

"Our stay at Velassaru was amazing. We spent 12 days on the island, and did not want to leave... The level of service and dedication of the staff are beyond the words. The hotel is ideal for family or romantic getaway. The island is very small and that makes it really quiet and peaceful. You can see Male as it is really close by, but on the other hand you don't need to spent extra hours for getting to the island. Highly recommend this hotel to all lovers of the tranquil holidays."

"Baros is a dream destination, located in between a lagoon and a beautiful reef. By the way, the house reef is incredible and you can spot many species, including sharks, turtles, rays and hundreds of species of fish. "Lovely staff, stunning accommodation, good food, great excursions. We went on snorkelling trips to look for Whale Sharks, turtles and Manta Rays and saw them all super close to us. "Great hotel, from the warm welcome to last farewell everything was smooth and highly enjoyable. We loved the fact the whole island is set in lush greenery and i feels very private despite full occupancy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. We stayed on half board basis and there was always something to choose from. I am sure there are better resorts for snorkeling but if you you are patient you find some good marine life as well (we did snorkel on the surf beach behind the reception)...

"I was debating between several islands within the Maldives. I am SOOOO happy my family and I choose to stay with The W. The service was absolutely impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my wife and 3 year old daughter (especially Ms. Hadi and Mr. Ali). Our overwater suite was stunningly beautiful. The water sports and activities were experiences I’ll cherish forever.
