"I was most pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed here the night before an early flight, and walked to and from the terminal in a crazy burst of wind. The hotel was a welcome haven in the wild weather. Once there, we enjoyed the cozy room, a sweet happy hour, and satisfying meal. We were fortunately that the restaurant was not over run. We had a chicken burger and veggie burger with fries and found them both quite good. After a quick night's sleep, we were off! "

"We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Blue Lagoon. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Did not realize that the town is an abandoned ghost town with most of the town fenced off and minimal food choices open during our stay. Bed was an old spring mattress that was uncomfortable."

"I had an amazing experience. I accidentally booked the wrong day, but the man at the front desk was extremely helpful and let me stay in an open room. This was at midnight, and his attitude was great. He also gave me some information about the island, how to get around, and which sites to see. He also shuttled us to the airport the next morning for our scheduled car rental pick up. Amazing amazing staff. The room itself was spacious and warm with a sink in the room. Everything was very clean...

"We showed up at midnight from our flight and the cabin we were assigned was occupied by another guest. We called the phone number given and the person told us to go to another cabin and “hopefully the guest assigned to that cabin doesn’t show up” it was a bit strange and we went to bed concerned that we will get a knock on the door. Aside from that, cabin is as advertised and all around very nice. "

"Breakfast buffet had more than enough choices. We had to wait several hours before going to the airport. The bar breakfast area very pleasant for relaxing and playing cards. The staff went overboard and took us to the,airport in the shulttle, even though it was not scheduled to run on Saturday afternoon. I would stay there again. "

"The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a large meal for four. There is a supermarket within a 20 minute drive and a few restaurants. The lodge itself was lovely and warm and ideal for a quiet evening trying to see the northern lights. It was perfect for our last two nights in Iceland as it's 30 mins from the Blue Lagoon and 13 minutes to the airport. Will definitely look to stay here on our next trip to Iceland."

"Easy to get to from the airport, easy to check in and park. However, the room itself was a bit dated and the bathroom situation is WEIRD. There was a tiny sink next to the bed and a toilet with shower behind about 2.2m tall partition meaning all the sound and smell is literally next to bed. Also, the window was not closing properly, so there was a bit of a draft. Common areas were basic and totally fine. Perhaps an okay stay for one but wouldn't recommend otherwise "
